  • Sooo many fab ideas!

Pips Mum I am in awe of you having almost finished your christmas shopping...and 2 weeks off a new bubba arriving. I dont know how you've managed it!

This week I had 2 gifts arrive from amazon- a desk diary for my Dad and a book which finished off my god daughters present so I have been able to wrap them up. And I have bought my Grandad a planter for his garden which he loves. Not wrapped up yet as its delicate.

So I now have finished and wrapped, other than my Grandads present:

Dad- just needs money putting in an envelope
    God daughter
    Grandad
    Our cat
    Parents dogs
    Best friends dog
    Friends 2 cats

    Still to get:

Hubby- thought I had decided what to get, now im not so sure
Mum- money in an envelope towards Downton Abbey series 3 on DVD, and a photo frame.
Mum in Law- slippers and some chocolate
Sister in law- nail varnish (I so want to do the "for your mistletoes" thing off pinterest!) and a gift voucher
Best friends- tesco gift voucher (maybe boring but with only one of them working and a nearly one year old it will be well received) and a yankee candle
Other friends and colleagues- I am going to get busy in the kitchen nearer the time and bake gingerbread to give them.

Added to all of this, Ive got loads of family and friends birthdays coming up, including mine and hubbys in late Nov and early Dec AND hubbys best friends wedding on 8th Dec AND friends of ours are expecting a baby due 14th Dec!! For the most part I have got all the cards needed and have a list of cards I need to get round to making so it all feels under control. I know exactly what I am going to get for friends when they have their baby but I would never tempt fate and get it before she arrives.

    Its all under control!!....hopefully.

Usually starts just after xmas gift guide. 1st was around 7th October last year. Soap and Glory is always the last offer on week before xmas.

I normally buy the S&G large gift set when it's on offer however after buying it last year I realised that what I tend to do is split the contents between my sisters for Xmas with other things they need so this year I'm not bothering and instead I've been buying the S&G stuff on 342 as that way I get the products I want, I can spread the cost, and I don't need to be up till silly o clock in the morning!!

Wow!!! That looks amazing!!!! I take it that will be a U? My DD is 6 and gets terrified at 'mild peril' moments in films. She sobbed her heart out in toy story 3 when she thought the toys were going to get melted. I fear there may be quite a lot of mild peril moments in this..... Ah well, shes just gonna have to man up between now and then cos I am sooooooo gonna go watch it :p

Thanks, its amazing how motivating the thought of busy Christmas shops with a toddler and a new baby and a C-Section wound are at making you get things done though LOL!!:rotfl::rotfl:

check out the pink "august" mp3 player from amazon. it has a speaker and built in torch. i got one for my dd who is 5, it cost less than £10, and ive recently loaded several disney albums and a few story cds onto it. sound quality is amazing and although iv brought her a good set of headphones, the speaker is an added bonus when she's practicing her dance moves

Thank you - had a look last night and it didn't seem to be available? I could find a speaker in the august range, but there didn't seem to be an MP3 player? This maybe me being incredibly daft tho. I'm not ever so good with technology type things. :o

I know how she feels!:o I finally managed to watch Inn of the Sixth Happiness a couple of years ago, in my 40's, as I can vividly remember being in floods of tears when I was about her age watching it and my poor mum having to re-assure me that it was only a film and I didn't need to worry about the kids at the end walking and singing "this old man"! No idea how I would have dealt with knowing it was based on fact:o:o
A smile costs little but creates much :)
