help licence revoked

dvla wrote me a letter to take a medical on 15th march. i replied that i went for a medical on the 7th march with the details and time. saturday i recieved a letter saying as i didnt make appointment for a medical from the letter 15th march my licence has been revoked. i was never told about a second medical ?? i phoned the dvla and they told me my doctor recieved details off a medical it was for alcohol.. im so down i suffer from biploar this has really affected my health.. i thought the first medical was to do with my biploar it wasnt it was to do with drugs.. i feel so screwed over by my doctor...

any one with help thanks

But your doctor told you last year (or earlier) that you shouldn't drive.
Why do you now feel 'screwed over' by your doctor?

Last year you expected to lose your licence and started a thread on it, but didn't bother to answer questions posed.

i went for the medical expecting it to be about my bipolar, when i went it was a drugs test.. i have found out the second medical which i didnt know about was to be about alcohol which i do not drink. i was given medication i could not drive on, so was told not to drive. so i didnt take it so i could drive, with my depression i need to be able to get out and about..im upset as i was never told about a second medical. of course i would go i really need my licence... i feel screwed over as my dvla told me my doctor knew about the second medical as he was the one informing dvla in the first place..i feel screws over as i was told there was only one

Looks like you had resigned yourself to no longer being able to drive.

Anyway, it isn't a good idea to not take medication so that you can drive... that's not medical advice... just my opinion.

they gave me another medication so i could drive. im not tlaking about last year im talking about now, april 2012.. i just thought i had one medical not two.. why would they send me for a medical for alcohol when i dont drink why wasnt i told about it ??

but you were told, you were asked to go for a medical on the 15th but chose to ignore it.

yes i got letter saying medical i replied saying i went the 7th, previous week... ive emailed the dvla. i see it as a clerical error on any off the letter did it sat second medical or give me the results of my first..

Who ordered the medical on the 7th? Not that it really matters but if it wasn't the DVLA then you don't have a leg to stand on.

And did they reply?

If not, I think it would've been a good idea to go to the second appointment, just to make sure you were doing the right thing.

Anyway, what you need to do now is to find out how you can put things right.

Get in touch with DVLA and ask them if you can now have the second medical, and ask them how you can get you licence back.

I think only the DVLA can help you on this, but maybe speak to your doctor and see if he can help.

the doctor who reported me to the dvla has now left, the dvla told me they wrote to him about a second medical which he should of informed me off

i told the dvla i would like to appeal, they said reapply again. i should be able to get it back quicker as i have been for one medical. the reason the doctor reported me was as i had severe depression over last 18 months made 3 suicide attempts with drink and drugs..so the doctor wrote to the dvla to imform them. i was only under the impression it was one medical for drugs..i also emailed the dvla and they are goin to see if they can give me back my licence any quicker as it seems to be a clerical area...

Tried to kill yourself with drink and drugs, but you don't drink?
