Why do some links halt on another site than the one they are supposed to go to?

The link in post two is supposed to go to Tesco but halts on a page called solutions, after going via tradedoubler

It was stopping on solutions but have just clicked it and it goes to Tesco now

That other link also goes straight through to tesco for me. Thanks for raising this though, and it would be great if you can let us know if this happens again.

Just another way for the "no Spam/ no Adverts" to make money from those that don't expect it.

What happened to all that about marking affiliate links with * ....?

I see any links to ebay are now cloaked to go via an affiliate programme, whether they are posted by MSE or a user.

There is a pop up blocker causing the transfer to halt, wasn't sure if it was OK to post which one

That is probably someone with an interest on counting the clicks received by Tescos or from Moneysavingexpert.
