I know this is not toiletry related but do any of you ladies have a recommendation for sandals. I struggle every year with summer shoes. I need something comfortable for walking, with a strong sole, no toe posts. I don't need trecking sandals just for walking the dog, school run etc and I can never find anything stylish that will last. Any ideas gratefully received.

Not sure what your price range is but I recommend Kurt Geiger sandals. I wait until it is sale time and for an additional % off code to get what I want. So far the pairs that I have have worn really well, are very comfortable and look very stylish. The oldest pair I have is now 4 years old and the still look and feel good. I find the thin, completly flat sandals useless and avoid at all costs.

Also check out M & S for ther autograph and limited collection. I have had a few gems in the last year or two.

    Anyway back to the UU's.

One UU and one freebie in. No7 Body Polish - WNB as it was kinda meh. Had better ones that cost a lot less.

Colgate Toothpaste freebie sample and just in time for my 5 day jaunt to Cumbria in 10 days time.

Hi ladies, still awol as life is a bit crazy at the moment!

Still got my LHJ of the Righteous Butter going strong. I think there's only a quarter left now though - yay!! Once this is done, will give myself a break from S&G I think :D

    UU
Lush Candy Mountain Bubble Bar: WIBA? Yes, when it comes around again at Christmas. Only got 1 (2?) left in stash, then will carry on using shower gel instead to help with the UUs.
Oral-B Dental Tape: WIBA? Yes, when on offer. I have no loyalty with dental tape :p

    IN
Boots Expert Dental Tape - needed!

    Hugs to everybody :)

My order from Debenhams has arrived so have the following ins

Benefit High Beam - can't open this till June as its my treat for having more outs than ins this month
Benefit Confessions of a Concealaholic - almost out of concealer, so need this for Holidays.

Will be going a way for a week with DH and the dogs soon and its our 10 year wedding anniversary the day we get back, so lots of meals out etc and determined to have some decent holiday photos of me this year. Hoping all my nice new makeup will help.

Hope it is crazy in a good way - if not big hugs...

    Another UU:

Smashbox 2ml lipgloss - this has been in my handbag for so long the sticker with the colour on has given up the ghost and disappeared. Nice pinky gold shade. I like Smashbox lipglosses but have no need to buy another for at least the next decade as I plug away at reducing my lipstick/lipgloss/lip pencil stash.

At least the UUs are coming along a bit quicker now...

Willowbee - did you say you'd had your High Beam open for years? Has it lasted ok? Its just that the box seems to indicate its only good for 6 months after opening and there is quite a lot of it to use in 6months.

I've actually been thinking about how long it takes to uu makeup and I really think the cosmetics companies should sell a lot of these products in smaller sizes so we actually have a chance to use them up before we get bored of them or have to bin them (as they've been open too long).

Eeek! to the idea that High Beam only lasts for six months

I really have had mine for years and it hasn't changed texture or smell so I hope it's ok! I only use the tiniest amount each time - a couple of little dots on the top of my cheekbones and sometimes a teeny bit under the outer arch of my eyebrows. I wish that companies sold smaller versions of things as well - there would be much less wasted.

I hope that you get lots of lovely holiday/anniversary photographs :):)

i checked my benetint bottle and I've had it so long most of the writing has come off :rotfl:

they won't sell in smaller packages because they'd have to be cheaper and then they run the risk that if we don't like it, we've only bought half of what we would have done previously off them. buying a £24.50 bottle of benetint and not liking it is still £12.25 more than buying a half size and hating it and not repurchasing. also, with the teeny sizes, i wouldn't pay a tenner for a half size of benetint, we'd really start with "thats not worth that much, surely" the smaller they get. when the glamour benefit freebies come out, the worth per ml of them is like a tenner each. i'd be telling them to jog on if they asked for a tenner for those, yet in a fancy big tube and asking £20, it seems like "normal" priced.

Thanks feeling better about it now there is no way I'd use that much in 6months (its a silly size bottle if they really do expect you to use it in 6 months). It takes me ages to use makeup up.

Counting down till hols now wish I was going tomorrow, mind you still have a lot of things to organise. Think I'll decide what makeup to take at the weekend.

I suppose they're aim is to get you to buy the big bottle throw away half of it unused and then go and buy another big bottle. I am actually determined to get some makeup uu, a hard task for me.
