Wow didn't see those so altogether 22585 bid's by the same person that's impossible!! lol.
shrill bidding?, but no price increase!!. 0 -
Nah it's simple. As it's the same user putting in higher bids, they will not outbid themself!! They are simply raising their bid so if someone else bids they have risen their highest bid. It happens alot when someone thinks arghh I should have put a higher bid in as I wont be around when the auction finishes etc....but to put in 2000 odd bids is jus silly n obviously someone messin around but still the most bids I have ever seen! The main thing is to keep the main thing the main thing:)0

Obviously something very odd going on here. The bidder must know the seller.
The current price is still 1p becauseEbay's proxy bidding won't allow you to outbid yourself. It could be fun placing 1000 more bids on one of these items secure in the knowledge that you'll immediately get outbid.0 -
Ye obviously someone having a laugh / playing around - quite funny they must be well bored! Do you think they sat there just typing in bid after bid after bid....hahaThe main thing is to keep the main thing the main thing:)0

Seller(?) has 25 items listed, all with bids from same person, as Viper spotted. Seller has also given feedback to this buyer 7 times. Means seller is subject to listing and final value fees of over £5. Not a lot of money, but what is the object?Viper wrote:Wow didn't see those so altogether 22585 bid's by the same person that's impossible!! lol.

Neither will achieve a displayed increasing feedback count.
Ebay is a slow site, my BB connection takes 6 secs to load next page after initiating a bid. If the whole process took just 15 seconds, then this is almost 4 hours of mind-numbingly repetitive work - feel free to check my arithmetic, could be wrong. Viper not sure if that was a typo but I agree it is "shrill bidding". Is some form of software being used? I am also

I wonder if this is someone testing out a piece of software that automatically bids on an item . It'd's easier to test it on 1/2 dozen items rather than set up hundreds of dummy items. Aucion sniper type software perhaps?0

Yes, I think you've hit the nail on the head there. That seems like the most logical explanation.HairyHatMan wrote:I wonder if this is someone testing out a piece of software that automatically bids on an item .
