Wonga loan

I've just received an email from Wonga.com to say funds have been transferred to my account. I didn't apply for a loan from them and never will!!
How do I find out if this is for real?? There's no obvious contact details on their website.
Well first of all have you checked your account ?
There is a number, its under help, you just need to look for it.0 -
The phone number on their website is 0207 138 8330.0

Be carefull - make sure you follow up, might be case of somebody using your identity to apply for a loan. We have seen numerous threads here of bank accounts withdrawals of people who never took a loan.I owe £3233 @ 0%0

this is really weird, I checked my account (should've done that first) and the money's from a legit transfer from someone I know - but why would wonga let me know about this and call it a loan?0
-
yes, definitely knows about it - we talked about it last week and I was waiting for funds0

Thats your answer then is it not ?
Has your friend applied to wonga and got the money paid into your account or am im reading it all wrong.
This begs the question, where will the repayment come from? Woahhhh all sounds fishy to me, make sure Sponga doesn't come looking for you when payment is due....."We want the finest wines available to humanity, we want them here, and we want them now!"0

Just a thought but if OP said it was a legit transfer from a friend so didn't get the transfer direct from Wonga, could they still chase him/her for the money? As it seems the loan is in their name..
We need more details
