Wonga loan

I've just received an email from Wonga.com to say funds have been transferred to my account. I didn't apply for a loan from them and never will!!

How do I find out if this is for real?? There's no obvious contact details on their website.

Be carefull - make sure you follow up, might be case of somebody using your identity to apply for a loan. We have seen numerous threads here of bank accounts withdrawals of people who never took a loan.
    I owe £3233 @ 0%
  • this is really weird, I checked my account (should've done that first) and the money's from a legit transfer from someone I know - but why would wonga let me know about this and call it a loan?

This begs the question, where will the repayment come from? Same account it went into usually!

Woahhhh all sounds fishy to me, make sure Sponga doesn't come looking for you when payment is due.....

Just a thought but if OP said it was a legit transfer from a friend so didn't get the transfer direct from Wonga, could they still chase him/her for the money? As it seems the loan is in their name..

    We need more details :D
