BPA list of AOS members - DVLA data farmers
Coupon-mad
Just starting an AOS thread following Stephen Leak's suggestion:
So, to kick off:
HERE IS THE CURRENT LIST OF COMPANIES IN THE AOS:
http://www.britishparking.co.uk/AOS-Members
ANY PARKING CO WHICH IS NOT ON THAT LIST 'CANNOT' GET DATA FROM THE DVLA EVEN BY PAPER APPLICATION (ACCORDING TO THE DVLA).
Post here on this thread please if you know differently. No new case queries here please, no 'shall I ignore them?' questions here!

OK, the DVLA will come up with the usual excuses, and say that steps have been taken to stop it happening again.
And then we wait, and catch them out again. They will then have to find a new excuse for this instance, and also one for why it happened again.
And again. And again. And again.
Which PPCs aren't in the AOS?

Coupon. They only give 1 point at any one time. That is to indicate that in the last 12 months they have given 3 points out under this title.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0

how many points before exit? 5, 10, 20? 5 in a year? What about a name change and return? Any sanction on directors? I doubt it.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0

And, whilst using a code for the PPCs involved seems plausible, it also means that the list could be a complete fabrication.
I suggest taking a dated screen print, to see if anything ever changes. The acquisition of wealth is no longer the driving force in my life.

Why are we talking about it as if it is legit when we all know it isn't?:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:0

Well they threw OPC out for 3 weeks then let them back in when they changed their criminal ways!:p
Then the DVLA gave them all the keepers details they had amassed whilst they were suspended!:cool:0 -
Not that I would want to appear as an endorser of the AOS but the list most certainly changes. What of those companies we once did battle with that are no more - well, as far as the AOS is concerned?Stephen_Leak wrote: »And, whilst using a code for the PPCs involved seems plausible, it also means that the list could be a complete fabrication.

Just as a quick run through sample. Not all of these were "obliged" to cancel their direct debit mandates but they are no longer members and should therefore, no longer have access to DVLA data.
It is pleasing to note that despite my notifying them on 3 occasions about a particular company that they are still listed as a member - having been dissolved in July 2011 having never filed any accounts.
This is a screengrab from CoHo a few minutes ago.
One suspects that all that will happen is that the membership will be "transferred" to Worc's "trading as" title CpS Enforcement.
Sadly, the AOS have form for this. I have argued with them on two fronts. Firstly, that if a limited company goes pop, as a member, then in strict legal terms the membership dies with it. It cannot simply be transferred as appears to be the case. Secondly, as "gatekeeper" to the DVLA data via the "electronic link" the BPA owes a duty to the public - whom it is acting on behalf of as a proxy of the DVLA, I might add, it should clearly and unambiguously identify its members in terms of their legal entities. It should not, as was the case to a significant degree in the past, simply identify them by a generic title e.g. Shoal Enforcement rather than Shoal Enforcement Ltd. (There being a substantial difference, legally, between the two).
The AOS listing at this time last year was full of examples like this and I'd believed that things had improved a little. Discovering that Worcs are still listed is something of a disappointment. An email will be off shortly.
My very sincere apologies for those hoping to request off-board assistance but I am now so inundated with requests that in order to do justice to those "already in the system" I am no longer accepting PM's and am unlikely to do so for the foreseeable future (August 2016).
