D & D Homecare

Hi,
I'm going to try to claim for my PPI I have with D & D Homecare, but I'm not sure who I need to write to. The PPI was arranged by AWD Home Finance Ltd. On the Schedule of Insurance it mentions Adminicle Ltd as well. We paid £9870 as a single premium which we added to the mortgage. I've read that this type of claim is quite a good example of mis-selling. I would be grateful if anyone can point me in the right direction of who to write to.
Thank you!

Hello there
You write to the ones that actually set up and sold the account to you from the start.
Going by your post, it sounds like AWD Home Finance company.
In regards of a mortgage ppi, I think Dunstonh or MagpieCottage will be able to assist you with this one.
Good luck. The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
Single premium PPI is a good example of a mis-sale. I think AWD became Carrington Carr at some point - so that's who you would complain to - except I think they recently went into administration. Hopefully there's still a route you can take with your complaint despite this. As di3004 says above, Dunstonh or MagpieCottage will be able to give you the best advice on this.0

I also had ppi added through AWD home finance 6 years ago, which cost £6500 as a single premium, i have wrote to D&D home care and they have passed it on to legal and general, who im told are the ones responsible for AWD dealings.
Does any one know how much you can claim back if 6500 was added to a mortgage lasting 23 years, which i still have!?0 -

Depend on the year in question. Some of them they are. Some not.Does any one know how much you can claim back if 6500 was added to a mortgage lasting 23 years, which i still have!?
It is the return of premium paid plus interest.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. Ive had a reply from legal and general accepting it is them responsible and they are going to give me a call regarding my complaint!
It was 6500 in 2006 over 23 years ive still got the mortgage account, but how do you work out the interest?1 -

If you feel you were mis-sold then you can still complain even if you made a claim. Obviously, you cannot allege certain things in your complaint if you have had a successful claim. If your complaint is successful they can deduct the amount paid out under the claim from any redress.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). No follow up from OP.
There is no recourse to 2004 (pre GI day 15/1/05) policies sold by AWD/Carrington Carr unless you go back to NIG (underwritten by UK Insurance Ltd).
Would be interested to hear from anyone who has approached NIG or UKInsurance Ltd and the subsequent outcome.

Hello, can anyone help I paid up front for this policy, but it was added to the mortgage, as it was part of our deal, clearly not, i did question this. But was told i cant cancel, i was so annoyed about this Is this mis sold. Ppi? But it was 2001 . Is it now with L and G. But can we speak with the ombudsman, or would we be wasteing their time. Or is it down to our own stupidty, now older and wiser. It was really poorly handled and pressured.
I know its not Legal &General fault ,can you help.
Thanks for yoyr time.0
