How do I make my new Sky remote control operate?

Hi Folks

I had my Sky remote control replaced by a new one. I have put in the required code in order to make it work, as instructed on the small leaflet which came with it, but I cannot turn the tv on or off.
Would anybody be kind enough to suggest a solution for this problem?

Depends on the Rev number of the remote (inside battery compartment). You need to look up the code for your new (unknown make/model) TV set.
Try the Satcure web site. Lots of codes listed there.

I already know the code for the tv - it was given in the booklet which came with it. However, I till cannot use the remote to turn the tv on !

Follow the interactive guide on Sky. Chances are you have the wrong code or are entering it incorrectly.

Is it a genuine Sky remote?

Make and model of TV?
Code you are attempting to use?
Where did remote come from?
