Is Virgin Media broadband good?

I've been with virgin since they were cableinet and the fastest speed they offered was 512kb.

I've had a few outages this year and was getting a bit tired of it, sent an email to the CEO, got a call within a few days apologising and giving me 50% off my broadband for a year.

Customer service is great if you get through to the UK. If you don't, you have wasted a phone call.

I download and stream as and when I want (downloaded 8 gig of catch up episodes yesterday afternoon), if I was capped after that I didn't notice.

Basically, when it works, I have no complaints at all. When it goes off, if you don't get a UK rep, it's a nightmare.

No. We pay £27.50 a month just for cable broadband (don't want any more crap TV thank you, or their calling plans (extortionate)). You would think it would be great for that price but they limit bandwidth at peak times. Must look into BT infinity.
