bwatt00 definitely don't bid if they don't tell you the post and packing.

As for payment methods, all their payment methods should be shown on the auction listing, if it doesn't say paypal then they are probably not going to want to use it.

Well it says to check in there details of item about post and packing but says nothing so they must have forgot about it? as for payment method it does not say cheque or paypal or anything but has the paypal logo on the auction so i take it this means this is a payment they use?
It bugs me as its something i really want but i dont feel right about it more so when they are not replying to my emails.

Personally, it really does depend on a combination of things, such as...

    a) What the item is.
    b) The responses I get from the seller.
    c) The perceived risk versus saving against buying elsewhere (if available).

With so many posters on this thread indicating that they do not give Zero feedback sellers the time of day, it just confirms my belief that the door is more often than not, left wide open for a bargain for those willing to take a little risk. ;)

One of the best examples I can think of was a collection of 70s Scalextric cars I bought, split and sold on at a very healthy profit. The cars were listed simply as Scalextric cars. The listing was poorly presented, lacked information, minus any images and the seller was a newbie.

All it took was an email to the seller, who agreed to take and send a couple of pics, confirmed postage would be at cost, and gave me the confidence to believe they were 95%-100% genuine. Additionaly, the fact that they had to take the pics indicated a lack of interest from others. ;)

Like you Tojo I have bought from a zero feedback seller and got a real bargain, but only after exchanging emails with them and confirming that they actually had their paypal account set up and ready to take payments.

However in this case the OP has said that the seller has not indicated any post and packing details, nor are they answering any emails. Not having post and packing listed is enough to put me off and not getting any response to emails is a real red flag.

    Soo,

A seller not set up for Paypal, or not listing postage does not concern me at all, but naturally...... if a seller does not even respond to emails, it's "case closed"... and move on. ;)

From my own experiences, newbie sellers who do not realise the importance of a clear and concise description of the goods complete with quality images..... Are also unlikely to realise that having a Paypal account set up and Post and Packing clearly listed is important to most buyers. :)

i have no probs buying from a newbie - and tbh if they have a starting price of £40, then i dont think they are a rip off type of person, as they have started the auction at a price they think is fair - i would be more worried if a newbie started their auction at 99p on something def worth over £40, just to save on listingfees, as that to me, imparts that they are more likely not a newbie, as they know how to work the system
