As a parting comment, you say you are now with Ovo. I know that Ovo sends statements every month in pdf format. So your first statement from them will at least tell you their opening meter reading when you joined them. This reading should be the same as the closing reading from E.on.

Might also be a good idea to check your credit record since E.on seems to have effectively defaulted you. Make sure you get them to correct any errors on your file.

I've heard that dealing with CRAs can be very stressful so I hope you get it sorted quickly. Good luck.
