Did you find the property through a letting agent? Try giving them a call and asking if they have an address for him. If they refuse, explain that he's effectively stolen your furniture and money, and you're planning on letting the local paper know. Also, if he doesn't appear to have a registered address, he may well be avoiding tax; you've nothing to lose by reporting him!

Do a search against any of the landlord's property addresses that you do have.
What address did you have for your landlord on your tenancy agreement, for failure by the landlord to provide an address, allows a tenant to avoid paying the rent under the Housing Act 19880 -
i had an address on the tenancy agreement but it was his old one. i think that i may have found him on an online electoral registry search. it looks like him so i am going to issue the court papers there. wish me luck and as regards the tax evasion, he seems well dodgy and i will surely be letting them know.
thanks everyone.
will keep you all posted as soon as i hear anything0 -
Do a search on this web link http://www.b4usearch.com/, this from the address will indicate also neighbours telephone numbers, that by contacting a neighbour might/will confirm your ex landlord resides there.0
