Anyone successful in Groupon refunding?

Options
I bought a Groupon in December, the company retracted the offer in January and I've been emailing them the whole time for a refund.

Not a single penny has appeared and I want my £18 back!!!

Can anyone give me any tips on how to get Groupon to actually REFUND MY money?

Thanks!

I bought a super car experience from them last July, I live in essex went all the way to Leicester to find the day a complete balls up there was over 150 people there all wanting to 3 laps in 4 cars we were told the experience will last approx 1 hour I arrived at my time 1 o'clock and was still there at 5pm waiting to drive cars, in the end the company organising pulled the plug and told us they were closing up for the day! When I got home I phoned Groupon and thankfully they did listen at first they wanted to refund in Groupon vouchers but I wasn't having that I paid via card and wanted my £125 back, they did not argue they refunded and even gave me extra £25 quid towards my hotel costs just keep badgering them they will refund in the end just to get rid of you.

    Which car experience deal?

I have a voucher for 6th Gear and hope it was not them?

I got a refund from Groupon for a voucher for LED lights zone , but only after I raised a charge back on my CC.

It's been so long now, not sure if CC chargeback will work.

It's stupid, it's only £18 but how many customers are they fleecing?

I have asked for refunds on 26 items (over a lengthy period of time) and have been given the refund without question each time. The refund has been given as groupon credit, but always handy when needing a quick gift for someone. I usually send groupon support an email with voucher and security number on it and reason for requesting refund. No problem.

Groupon are telling me I'm not entitled to a cash refund of a photo shoot because I emailed them on the day the voucher expires to tell them the merchant won't return emails or phone calls for me to redeem the blood.y thing!!! Point 5.3 of groupons t&c clearly state that if you are unable to redeem due to problems with the merchant then a CASH refund back to the original source will be granted.

So why am I being told:
    1. Can't give refunds on day voucher expires? The voucher hadnt expired when I contacted Groupon, but because it expired that day then no refund!!!
    2. Refunds made via Groupon credits only when told NO REFUNDS as per point 1?

Bought quite a few things from Groupon but after this charade I can see why they were under investigation lately. I won't use them again.

I found Groupon most unhelpful. I would suggest you name and shame on their Facebook page.

I'm having a lot of trouble contacting group on right now. I bought 2 odeon cinema tickets for £10 on Saturday and the money was taken out my account swiftly. I got an email with the usual voucher confirming my one £5 voucher! And unfortunately this email is completely blank of the usual reference numbers etc. So they've taken my money but not sent me my product! Plus they won't reply to any communications as I don't have a ticket reference number. Please can anyone advise me what I should do?
