OS Saturday 28th April

Evening all,

Surprisingly, no rain here to-day....its cold and there's a wind but no rain makes me happy!

Dinner to-day was roast chicken, roast potatoes, stir fried bok choi with rhubarb sponge and ice cream to follow....very nice and plenty of chicken for to-morrow, even though DS2 is home for weekend...I use that term loosely as he just about sleeps here when he comes from London, friends to be seen and gone to races to-day, as is DS3 and SDIL2, the latter courtesy of her employer in a corporate box, DS2 is in 'steerage'!

Going to spend the rest of the evening knitting, not sure if I will get to watch anything on tv but maybe the sports are over, in which case I might get a choice.

DGS2 (9) presented me with a Twirl bar to-day, saying that it was a present for me as I look after him so much and he doesnt pay me for so doing! He is a sweetie, hopefully he won't grow into a delinquent in his teens.

Dogs are having a play fight which means that the floor, surfaces and window cills will all be covered in dog hair...wonderful!

Evening all!

Sorry for no post yesterday, silly of me really as yesterday was a NSD and a good OS day today has not been, at all.

Little run down of yesterday, we batch cooked Bolognase ready for our Thursday night dinner, so there is now four dinners in the freezer rather than one, we also made Shepard's pie (cottage really but mum won't listen lol) which normally does us for 2 dinners that was meant to be dinner last night and tonight, but it's been cooked and not eaten yet so it will be dinner tomorrow and Monday instead now.
Pancakes were dinner instead last night, we had buttermilk that needed to be used. So a little bit OS as we cooked a batch and froze a double batch.

Today however has been awful! Miserable on the weather front. Weather when we got up said dry all morning pouring with rain this afternoon, by the time we'd got dressed and had coffee it was pouring.

The plan for today was to just pop into town this afternoon to goto Lush to meet the compounders and make free bath bombs so that was intended to be OS with us just paying for parking, and to pop into Asda for a 2 bits they didn't have on Thursday.
What actually happened was popped into Asda for the items they were missing on Thursday plus a baby boy gift bag for a work friend who had her last day at work before maternity leave, the traffic was horrific getting into Asda and this annoyed mum which made everything seem worse than it was, then she decided she needed to change her shoes before a trip to town, so home we went again, and she seemed to calm down, then to work to drop the friends present in, and then finally to town, into Lush to make our bath bombs! super exciting, plus a bargain too, as they let us make 2 each as it was quiet when we got there. Then abit of a browse and I spent £13.70 and then because today was the last day of the football season and our team could have gotten automatic promotion or gone into the play offs, as a treat I bought us KFC naughty I know. And then this evening we popped into Asda again as we were in need of petrol and everyone had decided they wanted cake, we got a few good bargains too that we hadn't spotted earlier in the day as it was sooo busy.


That is pretty much it. Tomorrow should be another NSD as I am at work and we have dinner sorted already
