It slipped my mind about making a once in 180 dys call or text on the mobile I keep for only very occasional usage and Orange have duly cut me off. Ive heard horror stories from others its happened to , so whats the best/most convenient/quickest/efficient way of getting it 'revived' please, and will it cost me anything?

Order a new free PAYG sim?

If you mean 'reviving' the number, then I think there is no any regular way to do this at Orange except calling the CS and begging them.

AFAIK only Vodafone give you 90 days to ask for reactivation.

Thank you Grumbler - I just put another £5 on the phone before I realized it still wasnt working because it was cut off. Would I be able to have the £5 transferred to a new free simcard if I ordered one?

If you topped up after the acc was closed the credit will be floating around the system somewhere!

It should be 'findable' but with Orange shedding so many long time staff you might have to call a few times to get to someone that knows how to use the system to find it. Very few payg staff ever had access to the backend system that tracks those kinds of transactions....

The number will be gone, recycled into the system.
No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)
