Wow, what a difference a bit of focus can make.

Also, just goes to show that asking all those nice DFW bods for help once in a while can really make a big difference!

Keep up the good work James, and enjoy your time off work - hope the weather holds for you.

It just seems after months and months of worring and panaking (sp?)

It seems as though it might all be sorting itself out i look foward to paying off my first debt.

We have even started goin round ASDA with a list and a budget for each item written next to it and we try to save money on each item that we put in the trolley.

And now we only buy what is on the list and if we want any etraswe have to have saved the money elsewere on the list.

  • Just remember you are not alone!

Cancel the RAC and washing machine cover!
If you have a nice car think about selling it and take the bus. Besides your house your car is usually the second most expensive thing you own and this could pay off a chunk of your credit cards. Even paying off the minimum balance on some will help.

Sell stuff on Ebay! It will take 15mins to set up but after 7 days as long as you price things well (look at similar object prices) you'll start getting some money in. I've made £150 in two weeks just by selling unwanted things.
There is also a site called gumtree you can sell stuff on.

Cut down on your food bill. Do you really need that much meat in a week? Make your own sandwiches for work. Make your own soups.

Look at your utility bills and see if any of them say "Estimated". If they are then call them with a new reading (only if it's lower than they estimate it)
You should get a credit on your bill. Call them and ask for a refund ASAP.

The Rac And the washing machine cover have been cancelled already,

as for ebay we have nothing in the house that we can sell as we did that last year and got rid of lots of bits and bobs.

The food bill is £40 per week and that includes all the nappies and wipes deodrants etc and cleaning stuff ie soap powder.

As for the car its a 11 year old Daewoo that shells dad got for us of ebay for £75 as the MOt had ran out it sailed through the mot and its a lot cheaper that the bus to get to town and back (3 Miles) it costs £7 for me and shell.
