Hi all, this is a thread to discuss the MSE blog:
"Like MSE Guy, I’m also a proud season ticket holder at a football club. Unlike his costly Arsenal habit, though, I’m usually to be found down at The Valley..."

Here’s the slight flaw in the plan. I’m a Nationwide customer, and its online banking only allows you to see brief details of what’s gone in or out of your account that day. Sign in, and you’re presented with a summary of your new transactions – the full statement is usually a day out of date.0

I tried to sign up, verfied my mobile number, entered the code from the penny sent to my account and then it asked me to visit a branch with ID. Is that normal?Sealed Pot Challenge #239

Paypal get around the code problem by depositing 2 different (small) amounts into your account and asking you to tell them how much they were for - much easier...Jumbo

I had no problems setting this up at all, I do bank with Barclays though and only thing I will use it for is checking my balance before buying those red shiny shoes.......Aspiring to be financially independent.... from my parents!0

How long should it take for the penny to arrive in my account?
I setup pingit on the app on Friday afternoon and still nothing showing in my Bank of Scotland account.0 -
I set pingit on the app on Saturday 14 December and 13 days later I am still waiting for anything to hit my bank account. I emailed barclays pingit team on 18 December and have had nothing other than an email to say they will be in touch.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages, student & coronavirus Boards, money saving boards. So I get a reply - better late than never! Except the reply makes no sense.
"Please note a penny payment with the activation code is credited to the bank account you have registered. However as some banks will not display the activation code until the following day, the verification code will now remain valid for five days.
Unfortunately if your code has expired we are unable to send you a new code from this department as we do not have access to any customer account related information.
We would suggest you follow the registration process again and request a new 6 digit code bearing in mind any bank Holidays or weekends as code remains active for five days and NOT 48 working hours. Therefore if you requested the code on Thursday, it will not appear in your bank account until Saturday, which will then be expired."I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages, student & coronavirus Boards, money saving boards. I had a nightmare setting this app up. I had to go to a branch with I'd cause they said they couldn't verify who I was then I tried to put money into my e wallet and 150 pound has come out of my bank account twice when I only wanted to send it once and they are saying they can't find it, I will not be using it again.
