Just a word of warning, you most probably will get loads of companies phoning you up (especially if you are with yell) asking for you to advertise with them - the worst (for number of calls) were the local fire service who say its for a children's charity and your details will go on a calendar. I used to politely say that my advertising budget was used up for this year - thank you very much!!!When you were born, you were crying and everyone around was smiling. Live your life so at the end, you're the one who is smiling and everyone around you is crying! :rotfl:0

It almost certainly wasn't the local fire service but some scammy operator ... but your response was equally appropriate!
Yes sorry Savvy-Sue - I do stand corrected as I did not think it would be the fire service and I apologise for my error in not explaining myself correctly!:oWhen you were born, you were crying and everyone around was smiling. I have been following your threads, how is it going now? are you up to your neck yet in other peoples ironing? I worked for an ironing parlour in Essex, some years ago, when my kids were small. At the time the business was started by a woman from a council house and in no time at all she had her own unit, a fleet of vans and a number of outworkers, one of which was me. I dont know much about her turnover but if I can help you with any queries, let me know. You will need insurance, my friend burnt a BIG hole in an evening dress and it had to be replaced, a classic case of an expensive item with more than one fabric in it, the iron was just too hot, the insurance replaced it and everyone was happy.0
