Do you live in Hampshire LOL, I'd have mine done by you if you did. I used to always use a local ironing service and used to pay so much per bin sack and that lady was inundated. I think just give it a little while for the news to filter around and also target some housing estates where it looks like both people would be out at work all day and I'll bet you get some from thatIf you obey all the rules, you miss all the fun:cool:
Don't mess with me sucker!!!

I use the Ikea bags for my home ironing-they are great and you can pack loads into them-they are also very sturdy and close at the top with a press stud fastener.
Good luck with your venture!
(another thing about washing is that some people are allergic to certain washing powders-so that may be expensive if you are providing different ones)Fabi x0 -

I'm guessing that the Metro will PAY the bus company to put the papers on the bus.
One thing that might be quite cheap (but don't know how effective!) is to have a flier in the free local paper if you have one. With ours, you can be quite restricted in which roads you have it put in. But if you can manage to put leaflets through separately, they might have more impact.Signature removed for peace of mind0 -

Just stick at it - sounds like you're very passionate about wanting to succeed, and the fact you've done so much already is a good sign! Have you had the businesslink meeting yet? They may be able to offer some advice in terms of where the best place to market your service is, etc!0

People won't always trust a 'new' business, but if they see it's still there after a month or two, they may give a go. Plus they may not need it now, but again in a month or two if your name is fresh in their mind, they will call you!
Best of luck: you don't want my 'how to never iron again' post, do you! :rotfl:Signature removed for peace of mind0 -

Hi - I have my own oven cleaning business and I would say that the uptake on leaflets is not very good (from my own experience), but one thing I would recommend is instead of leafleting different areas each time - go back to areas that you have already leafletted, as it is takes about 3 / 4 times for a leaflet to be read before people start recognising you!!! I would also offer an incentive that if you are recommended to others by customers who are using you already, then offer them an extra - say, 5% discount of their next bag (or better still offer to iron something else for free) so it is only your time you are using up and not actually losing any money.
Good luck with your new venture - hope it takes off - I am all for women and enterpriseWhen you were born, you were crying and everyone around was smiling. Live your life so at the end, you're the one who is smiling and everyone around you is crying! :rotfl:0 -
