  • Morning!

Hopefully a nsd today as tomorrow def won't be as car is booked in to volvo for half hour to be looked at (insert made angry frustrated smiley here) for £60 :( !

Friday is the MOT if it manages to get fixed....

Oh and did i say I bought a laptop for ds1 as his broke. It's second hand and we got a good deal as it was a friend selling it. £120 for a 6 month old £400 laptop (dell) ;) and we're paying her out of the gift fund so we've told ds1 that is his birthday present and not to expect anything more in October. He seems happy with that so that's good and same price as the kindle i was looking at for his birthday instead :D

Hoping to beg, borrow or steal (???) a lawn mower from someone before the weekend so will use facebook for that ;)

Right anyway 2 little ones fighting over a naked barbie doll, dog looking like he might wee up against my leg even though back door is open & ds1 needs waking up! See you all later!

    hi DFW,
have you thought of writing chick lit as a money maker :T you could just print off some of the posts on here

    :T diary of a DFW :T

Have been having a read through and you've had lots going on - I'm sorry to hear you have stuff going on with your Dad - they're kinda precious are Dads.

Bummer about the reduction in TCs. I've got so attached to mine, I'll have to freeze youngest two kids before they reach 18, so I can get them forever.
I'm still waiting to hear back from them but hope it will stay the same.

I know what you mean about wanting to pay the smallest debts off now they've got your attention. They're like a small kid pulling at your leg to get your attention.
After all the drama with ulster bank over here I want to clear my overdraft of £300 as it costs me £9 a month which is more per month than the interest I'm paying on my dearest card at the minute - even though its the cheapest debt I have when the percentages have all been totted up. I don't want to keep giving them any of my treasured cash after the inconvenience of the last few weeks. Today is the first day my account balance has been what it should be since 19 June - with the exception of just 1 transaction that I'm waiting on the statement to arrive for. And its the smallest debt.
Sorry got carried away there. I only meant to add my support for your decision.:)

Ahh thank you ladies :) I think I don't even know what i'm writing half the time, it most definitely is not edited :rotfl: my fingers work quicker than my brain (not really a hard job tbh after 3 kids :o)

And yep totally understand why you'd want to clear your overdraft, it's just like me with my smaller ones lol, i wish i had more patience :D

Well my appointment that i couldn't remember the date or the time for was not today (at least she stood me up if it was :rotfl:) So am guessing it is tomorrow now :D

I have called 2 nurseries for ds2 and one has places for september :T:j But it would mean i have to drop 2 kids off at 2 different schools 15 min walk away at the same time  now i'm no einstein but i don't honestly know how i could manage that even with a car working :rotfl: A dear friend has offered to help me but i hate to put people out of their way esp on a permanent basis so it's still just an option atm.

The other nursery has around 5 people on the waiting list. But she reckons there could be movement as it's a military school. It is also the nursery DD got turned down for and i went nuts at the receptionist........i quite literally stood there hopping up and down, screaming. ummmm :D so thankfully they DID NOT recognise me, and if they did they did a remarkable job of containing the laughter :o! So two maybes there.

Spag bol for dinner, ds2 asked me yesterday for haegetty hoganaise. Took me an hour to realise he meant spag bol. By then i had something else on (actually dh did cos i hate cooking :D) so i've defrosted the mince ready for dh to make it when he gets in :rotfl:

AND get this.......i am going out tonight to a wives choir :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: I used to be in the 'second' choir when i was little, mainly to make numbers up. I was the shortest yet i was always stood at the back, i think that sums up everything about my singing skills. I also once when very drunk and after splitting up from a boyfriend sang 'I will survive' at karaoke. I thought i was fab, but that was probably the 20/20 i'd been consuming :rotfl: everyone else just keeled over laughing. I only have the fact that this was in the 90s to be thankful for. No youtube, no iphones, no video cameras. *phew*

Tonight however, well everyone will have their phones and of course i stupidly put pics on facebook of all my friends' husbands naked at my house party. So they have promised to get me back..........should I be scared???:D :rotfl: haha wish me luck!!

And maybe tomorrow i may have news of my elusive appointment! I think I need a diary to write these dates & appointments down in, memory of a sieve is moi!
