Cannot access my router's HTML interface

I have borrowed a Speedtouch 510 ethernet ADSL2+ modem to try during the bouts of poor speed and high errors on my broadband. Unfortunately it only has one ethernet socket on.
Is it easy to use this in conjunction with my USR so that the Speedtouch connects to my phone line instead of the USR?
I am wondering if I can connect one of the ethernet ports to the Speedtouch.0 -
it depends...does the USR have an ethernet WAN port on it?? (not familiar with them). If not, then you probably can't. If it does, then you'll need to turn off the modem part of it and just use it as a switch...setup from within the interface, check the user guide. Alternatively, pick up another router off ebay, one that is capable of running DMT and/or Routerstats, to help with your troubleshooting. Something like a D-Link 2640B or netgear DG834GT. Not only can you then tweak your snrm, but the graphs that DMT & RS produce can be invaluable in troubleshooting a dodgy broadband line......Gettin' There, Wherever There is......
I have a dodgy "i" key, so ignore spelling errors due to "i" issues, ...I blame Apple0 -
GunJack: No, there is no WAN ethernet port on it.
The manual is here.
A graph would be useful and is something that I would like to see. All I can do with my current device is press the reset button on the stats page and estimate what sort of percentage of errors I'm getting.0
