So we had some work done in our bathroom today and one of the engineers left a great big sharp three inch open blade. I have children under two. If either had got hold if it they could be seriously hurt. I raise a complaint and hear nothing.
Post on an internet forum and bleat about it. I :T you :rotfl:
Ooops I forgot that parental responsibility doesn't exist anymore.I'm not that way reclined
Jewelry? Seriously? Sheldon you are the most shallow, self-centered person I have ever met. Do you really think that another transparently-manipu... OH, IT'S A TIARA! A tiara; I have a tiara! Put it on me! Put it on me! Put it on me! Put it on me! Put it on me! Put it on me! Put it on me!0 -

Flog it on ebay... ?Like all religions, the Faith of the Invisible Pink Unicorn is based upon both logic and faith. We have faith that she is pink; we logically know that she is invisible because we can't see her."0 -
It's a bit more than that though-When a tradesperson comes into your house they have a duty of care not to do anything that will damage your home or the people in it-that's why they need to be covered by liability insurance.
This workman was careless and I'm sure all the OP wants is for the company to say "We are sorry it happened and we will speak to the tradesman and make sure he is more careful in the future" I know I would .......and if they just ignored my letter I'd be speaking to trading standards as they do take an interest in dangerous work practices.
If the company ignore me and refuse to acknowledge the problem -then they can listen to them instead.I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole
MSE Florida wedding .....no problem0 -
Always makes me laugh, nothing whatsoever happened but my child 'might' have got hold of it!
I'm so angry that no accident occurred I will complain to the company that an accident 'might' have occurred but..er.. didn't.
I demand compo for ..er.. well something that could have happened but..um..well you know er, what if....
NOTHING HAPPENED! DISPOSE OF THE BLADE AND GET OVER IT!0 -
Meanwhile..... As OP is posting on MSE forum...... Child crawls over to unguarded wall socket and inserts three fingers......0

Person A finds razor blade, thinks 'crikey, thank God I found that before one of the kids did', removes blade from bathroom, thinks no more of it.
Person B finds razor blade, complains to company, comes on interweb to moan about it.
I know the world's full of all sorts but what exactly in people's make-up/personalities/experiences etc. makes people have such different reactions?
I do think (hope) most people would fall into category A.Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0 -
whats more disgusting is that you would allow your children to crawl around on a dirty bathroom floor, not only a dirty floor, but a floor of a room that has had the builders / plumbers in, with all their tools of the trade in.
If you wouldnt allow them to do so, then where is the issue?
If it were my home, I would have cleaned and checked the bathroom before allowing the kids to roam free, not that id allow them to play on a disgusting germ riddled bathroom floor anyway, but then, I'm a good parent.
What a nasty comment. So unnecessary.0 -

Trading standards are fairly toothless, the company won't care to much. The Googlewhacker referance is to Dave Gorman and not to my opinion of the search engine!
If I give you advice it is only a view and always always take professional advice before acting!!!

I'd be thinking...."Ooh look, we have been left a freebie!"
:rotfl:We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0
