Hi MsMonkeyMoo and welcome to Carter - his programme sounds pretty hard core - does he travel well? That would be a nightmare for me getting my lot to the vet that often!
Rising fromt The Ashes - a new dog - you're going to have a busy weekend!! Hope they all get along ok!! Bummer about your credit card, still - will stop you overspending at the pet shop on things for the new dog or guilt pressies for the cats!
I took Chloe to the vet today for her jabs and she weighed in at 5.25kg - oops. She has put on weight! She is only 18 months old. The vet said she doesn't look that overweight, I said you wait till you weigh her and she said 'oh yes - you are right!!'
Good news though, there is no indication from Urine tests that my MISTY is diabetic - yey!!! :j:j:j:j:j:jLess stuff, more life, love, laughter and cats!
Even if I'm on the shopping threads, it doesn't mean I'm buying! Sometimes it's good to just look and then hit the CLOSE button!0

            Hello all.
Well the new feeding regime seems to be working. Naughty kitten is getting the message now that she only eats her own food - if she starts to walk towards cat 2's bowl I now only have to look at her now and she slinks back to her bowl.
I weighed cat 2 using the unscientific method of weighing myself, then her and deducting the difference - good news i think she's lost 0.4KG You're not your * could have not of * Debt not dept *0 You're not your * could have not of * Debt not dept *0

Lindens, that must be some scary look you have - I must practice my 'NO' look!!
I use the same 'scientific' method for weighing my cat unless they are due a vet trip anyway...then I let the vet have that job!
I've been trying to wean mine off just biscuits, asI'm convinced this is how they all got fat, but have discovered that one of them has a very bad intolerance to certain wet foods, resulting in me a) clearing up several piles during the night (yawn, very tired today) and b) naturally, missing one until I trod in it...oh joy.....Less stuff, more life, love, laughter and cats!

Juliebunny a 2nd sympathy vote here ... been there!
Mia won't eat wet either - she'll eat a bit but never finishes even a wee tin, let alone a whole pouch so it's just wasted.
The only "wet" food she will eat is Tuna which isn't good for them everyday so I'm stuck. which isn't good for them everyday so I'm stuck.
She's still not been downstairs / out which won't be doing her any good at all. which won't be doing her any good at all.
Really annoyed with myself - was in Ar*gos yesterday to get something and got the "I've forgotten something" feeling ..... the scales

Aw rising, poor little scared puddy tat....hope she calms down soon but I guess these things take time.
I'm undecided about the value of the feliway sprays etc but have bought one anyway as Misty has to have her mouth biopsy next week and she is the worst traveller ever
LOL at that 'I'm sure there was something else' at Arguuus feeling!! My OH keeps telling me that if I had an Iphone (like him, naturally) I could keep all my lists and reminders on it.....yawn!!
I guess I'm really lucky with mine and food, they eat most things, but do turn their nose up at anything on special offer ha ha. Little rascals, can they see the red labels??Less stuff, more life, love, laughter and cats!

            Hi all
Just got back from the vets with my lovely old rescue cat. He has always been a bit overweight but he needs to diet.
Has anyone got any experience of this? I'm not sure how much to feed him now. He is always hungry and I think he eats the other cats' food.
Feeding them separatly is going to be difficult too as the other cat will only eat a bit then go back later but if I leave the food out then the big fella will eat it!
Any ideas would be appriciated. At the moment then have a pouch of whiskas every morning and some dry food at night.
 Thanks 0 0
