Leo, target - 6.9kg
Elsa, target - 5.2kg
Don't want them to lose weight too quick or to lose too much
Elsa - can't take her to vets, she ended up messing herself (rear end) three times and it was a job to clean her up, she had to stay downstairs for at least 24 hours0 -
Cally Elsa sounds as if she travels as well as Mia does ..... only with her it's both ends!Grocery Challenge £211/£455 (01/01-31/03)

We did a trip to newcastle before xmas. On the way back she was sick, frothy, wee-d, poo-d. We decided there and then that we wouldn't be taking her with us again.
The vets is only a 10min drive away. She normally poo-s before we've even gone round the block.
Not sure if it the car or motion or being in the cat carrier that she doesn't like0 -
Ohhhh poor wee lamb - yup sounds exactly the same as Mia.... sometimes I don't even make it to the end of the street before ......Grocery Challenge £211/£455 (01/01-31/03)

Rising I really want to see a picture of your Archie.
My Archie cat is massive (Lengthwise!) mostly white, with splodges of tabby, pretty sure he has some siamese too as he doesn't shut up, likes water and has bat ears! When he got sick from eating netting his weight went to 3.8kg, he looked grim, now he is about the 5/6kg weight, im not sure havent weighed him in a bit - I will do though, but he has a wee saggy belly but Im thinking its because of the op he had there to remove some intestine. You can still feel his bones (unlike Clio, whos a lazy small built cat who could do with losing at least 0.5kg) I know its her chewing through packets of dreamies!!
Losing at snakes and ladders - All he wanted was a lousy 6

Awwww he's lovely
poor wee lamb with his op - I do wonder sometimes - why on earth would they want to eat a bit of netting, string etc etc as so many of them do! Maybe Archie's are thin and Tortie's podgy! (seems to be a common theme on here!)
Anyway, happy to oblige (taken a wee while ago - if I could get him back to that size, I'd be happy!). It's prob only 1/2 kg or so..... he's very long too!
And .... just so she doesn't feel left out - Pudgy oops sorry Mia:

Oh, I'm simply loving the photos, what gorgeous puddy tats!!
My new diet regime has started at home...and actually, I'm not getting as much hassle from the cats as I thought I would.....it's a bit un-nerving, like they are planning something in secret.....or have a secret stash of food that I don't know about...hmmm....have reduced each cat to a tablespoon amount of cat-o-meat and a small handful of biscuits. They get 30 minutes to eat up in the mornings, then anything left gets put in the fridge for later. Even the feral has worked out that she needst to come out and eat sharpish before it vanishes (she's a bit of a podge too but can't get near to weigh her).
Does anyone else put out food later on from the same day - am I mean? They won't always eat it, depending on hungry they are I guess....anything left at bedtime goes to a waif I look after.
Evenings are a bit trickier as they all want to eat at different times...not much when I first get home but then they ask me for food each of them at different times during the evening...then if it's the kitten she convinces me that she will be malnourished if I don't feed her. Which is fine, she's ok weight, but when I move the bix tin, however quietly I try, the others are there like little bullets!!Less stuff, more life, love, laughter and cats!
Even if I'm on the shopping threads, it doesn't mean I'm buying! Sometimes it's good to just look and then hit the CLOSE button!0 -
Hello all, hope your chubby cats are all well. I'm still following mine around trying to get a wee sample with no luck...they seem to be getting up earlier in the mornings but I'm not sure if that is due to hunger or lighter mornings butI did hear my kittens tummy rumble at 6am as she sat on my face to try and purrsuade me to get up and feed her! Yawn!Less stuff, more life, love, laughter and cats!

Hello, my cat would like to join please! His name is Carter and he is 8 years old and a very naughty tabby! He's been on a diet for a couple of months now but I can't remember his start weight and target so will have to post that later. I have to go to the Vets every two weeks to get him weighed and track his progress; I don't get charged for it so it's not an issue but I think I forgot my last appointment! oops, will have to phone the vets and check today.
Carter has always been a gannet and searches for food constantly. When he's finished his own bowl he goes and sits right next to my other cat and stares at her until she moves away so that he can finish her food. If she doesn't move he will swipe her! I've lost count of the times we have told him off! We've started shutting him outside when she is eating or we move her bowl as soon as she has hopped down as she is a bit of a grazer and likes to eat a little bit now and then. He also comes and sits right in front of me and OH when we have our dinner and tries to stare us out too......0 -
Not much progress on the cats' food diet from me
- new dog arrived a couple of days ago :j and both cats currently camped out upstairs
I took pity on them last night & let them share a tin of tuna
Mia rarely eats meat so stuck with dry for her unfortunately (I have tried just about every meat on the market - most of it ending up going to the rescue centre!) and she's just not fussed about it. She will eat the odd bit of Bozita or Gourmet Pate but only about once a week.
Need to do some more digging around online I think - however it will have to wait a couple of weeks as my credit card was cancelled yesterday (someone tried to put through around £3.5k of purchased within 24 hours  - lucking the cc company picked it up) and it will take around 10 days for my new card to arrive
