Just got of the phone with AOL, This offer they gave me is mad almost too good to be true.
12 months contract
Unlimited allowance
Line Rental
Free 24/7 calls (0870 & 0845)
Free international calls
Free caller display and voice mails
Free wireless G router (premium) even thou i said i dont need one.
£30 credit add to my account
All for £16.00 a month for 12 months. I was paying £18.90 a month and never had free international calls.
It seems to good to be true even the order emails stated £31.30 a month he said to ignore them but did keep saying its only £16 a month.
I have been with AOL from 1998 (but had a new account from 2004)
Anyone else got this deal?

So what does that tell you?...
When you get your first DD taken for £31.30, how are you going to prove what was offered with nothing in writing to the contrary?
£16 sounds like the correct figure excluding line rental. No free lunch, and no free laptop

It was a AOL sales rep, I am going to ring back tomorrow and enquire what notes are made on my account. They said the call is recorded and he did state loads of times it was £16. If they dont honor it and cant find the call i will just say i never agreed to the new contract they cant prove it
Also it would be silly of me to agree to paying £31.30 when i could have carried on paying £18.90. Jan Wins: .0 -
AOL UK does not exist-it is simply a brand of CPW/TalkTalk and has been for 6 years now.No free lunch, and no free laptop

Thats just about what I signed up to when I threatened to leave last November. The rep put it all in an email - same as you have listed excpet it was all for £15.30 (near enough £16 after their upcoming line rental increase). Two months free etc etc. First few months, not everything was updated on the account correctly but a few calls got everything in place ....except they simply refuse to believe it was a 12 month contract - they insist on it being 18months. Anyway, to placate me on the messing about for the first few months they threw in an additional £30 account credit.
..and just to confirm ... the deal did include line rental.0 -

I rang today and they said the details on my account stated £16.00 and a credit has been promised. I remember the guy saying something about line rental going up and he could do it for £16. I then rang again to check the above with someone else and they agreed and doubled checked it is a 12 month contract.
If all goes well this is the cheapest i have ever had the above.Jan Wins: .0 -

Given that £16 barely covers the line rental, I find this too good to be true. Maybe as a 3 or 6 month sweetener, but not for the full minimum contract duration. No free lunch, and no free laptop
