Hi,
My bofriend and i are visiting Egypt for the first time and are unsure what to do about money. Do we take Sterling and exchange out there or exchange into Egyptian pounds before we go. Also, unsure about the whole visa sitution as we do not plan on leaving Sharm. Do we need a visa and is it expensive?

If you are not leaving Sharm you don't need a visa - otherwise it costs US$15 and you buy it at the airport on arrival.
I've always just changed Sterling there (try & get small denomination notes) or used my card in an ATM for cash withdrawal.
