Edinburgh Hotels with parking?

I've just spent hours online trying to find a decent hotel in Edinburgh city centre at a good price that has parking. Most seem to just refer you to the local NCP car park and from experience that's at least £20 per night extra you need to factor into it all...

Can anyone recommend a good hotel with parking that doesn't break the bank - around £65 per night? I normally use laterooms to book, but it seems expensive for edinburgh.

does it need to be very central? we stayed in one by the bridge (fantastic views), plenty of parking and there are buses into centre.

no good if you have to be very central and i can't remember the name of the hotel - major chain - not coming to me as yet.......

hope this link might help also! p.s if these are any good, you get 7% quidco with alpharooms

Considering the locals are charged £160 a year just for the privilege of being able to park somewhere near their homes the chances of finding somewhere central with cheap parking is lower than winning the lottery.

INSTEAD look at B&B's in the Corstophine area where free on-street parking is still available and there are lots of buses into the city centre which take about 20 minutes

Aparently the Travelodge St Marys Street has "Limited parking". You really cant get more central for tourist stuff. Id phone though to check the parking situation.

from experience this is very limited - however, if you call they may reserve one space for you.

I suggest the holiday inn at Ocean Terminal. 10 mins on the bus to the centre of town and they run every 5 -10 mins and go from right outside the hotel. They have lots of parking. Plus there are bars and restaurants there (its the shore area of leith) if you want to walk.

The Caledonian has parking you have to pay though.

Holiday Inn down at the shore has plenty of parking.

What about the Bruntsfield Hotel? It is not at the city centre but not far. There is a car park and a very good bus service with a bus stop outside

Sazzacat was it the IBIS? I think that is the name of one of the hotels near the bridges. There are others but i think they are fairly expensive.
There are lots of B&Bs around Newington which is on the major bus route into town. Buses in Edinburgh are fairly cheap but daily parking is expensive. The Macdonald Holyrood has parking but you have to pay and the hotel itself is quite expensive.

    Hope this helps
