Billing Error - orange help

9 months ago i signed up for a 24 month contract with orange through Phones 4 u.

i was originally offered:-
Sony ericsson X10 mini pro
900 minutes
500 text
250mb data
total of £40

after a about a 20 minute conversation i managed to get this deal;-

£200 cash (to buy out remainder of prev contract)
New sony ericsson xperia play
1200 minutes
unlimited text
500mb data
and £5 per month off my bill
so it came to £40 but with the £5 off, it should of came to £35 per month

:T:j:beer::dance:

However, for the 1st few month of the contract i was paying £40 which i thought i was just over on my data, but after the 9th month of paying £40+ i investigated the matter further, and found out i did not recieve the £5 monthly discount.:(

i have contacted Phones 4 u and they have confirmed that i have never recieved the discount... :o

my problem is, i feel like i have not been getting the deal i signed up for such a long period of time.

i would really like to know, is this valid ground to get my contract canceled free of charge or a free upgrade... as i see is, they failed to deliver a service that i agreed to and there for orange/phones4u are in breach of contract.

whats every1's thoughts on this matter?

What service did they fail to deliver? If you can prove that p4u promised you the discount you have a right to demand from them either to sort this out with Orange or to pay you it as a lump sum.
And next time check your itemised bill instead of guessing. It's free online at Orange.
