Evening everyone, tomorrows list is up, it looks huge but shouldn't take long, hopefully. I am out all day from 8 until 4 tomorrow so hope so anyway! Only got the evening and before I leave to get it done. Way I have looked at it is if we get those done tomorrow, that's downstairs in most homes done, apart from if a study is a seperate downstairs room, which will be later in the week.

Pleased to see everyones doing so well, welcome to all the newbies!

I find the lists not only make me more organised, but also help realise that I do actually do a lot. Housework, looking after the children etc is often such a thankless task, but it's a lot of hard work. Helps make it something 'achievable'!

I also need to add to that lot

    Dailies
4 appointments inc a 2 hour one, hence out all day
    Buy some CDRs, DVDRs etc
    Pack eBay items and post
Finish off room plans (seeing as we are rearranging upstairs)
Choose colour scheme for my new room (sons old room)
Measure up for new carpet for my new room (look at prices when out if possible)
    Night routine

Think I could do with a miracle for tomorrow.
One day I might be more organised...........

    Thanks for the list Lil-me

I love tuesday's list ;) Why I hear you ask because I did all that last week so it all just needs swiping. I also did under the stairs as well. Feeling quite happy now :rotfl:

So I'll have chance to finish todays list tomorrow :D

    Living Room/Dining room

[STRIKE]1. Vacuum living room thoroughly including under furniture[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]2. Dust ALL surfaces and polish wooden furniture[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]3. Hoover sofa and check under seat cushions for lost items, wipe if required[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]4. Sort mail and do filing[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]5. Clean television screen, dvd players, digi boxes etc etc [/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]7. Clean inside of windows[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]8. Sort any magazines/books lying around [/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]9. Clean any mirrors/clocks[/STRIKE]

Glad I got to this straight after work. I have also:

    - Filled in my forms to transfer my bank account to Halifax (and get $100)
    - Filled in my spending diary
    - Washing
    - Drying

Now I am working on getting a new job. Not very happy where I am now. I'm a temp and the job is going permanently which would mean a $2000 pay rise but I am not sure it is for me. I don't feel I am being challenged and so I am trying to improve my CV and write speculative letters. Wish me luck, somethings going to have to pay those bills and clear those debts. I don't believe in wasting money on the lottery so I think it's going to be pure hard graft!!

Evening all, just wanted to say that I have been lurking rather than posting for the last few weeks, but I have been flying too, if rather low. Living room, kitchen, hall and bathroom now permanently fit to be seen by visitors, so I guess this thread has officially cured my CHAOS (Can't Have Anyone Over Syndrome) - a hundred thousand thanks to you all!
I still won't allow anyone a peek at my bedroom but even there, more and more of the floor is becoming visible, and I am finding important things which were lost.
Keep on flying peeps - off to do the dishes, 'shine' my tatty brown sink and get to bed. :) After I've read just a few more threads on MSE of course.;)

  • Well I was out of the house for over 12 hours today at w**k and travelling to and from it! Got back in time to read ds his story, ate my dinner and felt like collapsing but... I had a bloody good stab at lil_me's list.

I hoovered - including under the furniture - which i never do, that took ages so wasnt quite so enthusiastic with the dusting (just the bits of furniture i could actually see - not a lot then!) and did a little of everything else. Plus I have done all my dailies yey!

More of the same tomorrow then, plus putting out bins in the morning. Not quite sure if i can cope with the kitchen and the hall safety hazard (yes lil_me must be psychic) in one day but you never know

Trust me going to be harsh for me tomorrow, but like has been said already, do what you can without overdoing it, it'll come back along next week. I think the safety hazards an important one, especially after a friend was told today her house is a accident waiting to happen! Made me think OMG mines probably the same. Kitchen cleaning also important for food prep areas but you can skimp on the rest of needs be. You know what you can manage and what can wait. If you overdo it, you'll loose the ability and urge to do more so don't!

Newbies, start on the day you start, it'll all be back next week, or you'll spend all your time catching up.

Thanks for the bins reminder, must see if neighbour puts his recycling one out as I can't remember if it's this week or next :o and get them out before I leave!
One day I might be more organised...........
