I realise that any critiscism of Flylady may lead to me having my stardrops and microfibre cloth forcibly removed from my hands and inserted somewhere painful, but I have a dilemma...
I've been subscribed for about four or five months and I'm thinking about stopping my subscription. I don't really want to do it, as sometimes I get great tips from her, but I find a lot of things that she sends are irrelevant at best. Currently I try to do the daily mission and as many of the jobs from the list here as I can manage to fit in. I don't post my list as I really don't have the time, although I do read a lot of the posts, which I find entertaining and helpful (thanks everyone).
I like Flylady's ideas of using a timer and the 27 fling boogies (I seem to do these on an almost daily basis!) and doing a swish and swipe, I even manage a house blessing every now and again. I also found her Christmas countdown an enormous help, as it was my first Christmas with two toddlers to contend with as well as all the usual preparations. I don't really want to miss any other good ideas that she comes up with, so I feel that it's a good idea to keep on with the mails.
But, I find all the soft sell for things from dusters to waterbottles annoying and pretty blatant (OK - I appreciate that she's got to make a living somehow, but she seems to be in overdrive right now). Also the sheer quantity of mail she sends is a problem as all my mail gets sent on to several different accounts to make sure I can pick it up wherever I am and this gives me an awful lot of junk from her to delete.
Does anyone else find that Flylady herself is a bit much? I know I could filter her mail to keep just the daily missions, but I think that if I'm going to do that I might as well just do what I can from this list and stop getting all her mails.
Any thoughts?
Thanks

On page 1 of this thread we get the day's task posted. You just jump in on the day, The first few weeks it will take you a while to sort things out, just do what you can, it will come around again the following week. You will start to notice that it will take you less time each week to complete tasks. We all have our own dailly list like washing (WM) ironing, swish and swipe bathroom (a quick wipe) dishes, file mail etc.
So to get started, wait for tomorrow's list (usually posted on Page 1 later on in the evening) and jump in, do what you can...
Welcome all other newbies to and happy "flying"0
