Hi Everyone I'd like to join if that's ok :o

I've never flown before and am quite scared of all the long lists people keep writing even if I'm a list freak myself :rotfl: but I don't always finish them :o

We moved into this semi-detached house 3yrs ago and it's huge, twice the size of our old 80's terraced house so why is it that there's still not enough room for everything  It needs decorating etc and new carpets when we have the money. I work part-time mon-fri (8:30 till 1:30 mon & tues leave to pick up kids at 3, 8:30 till 3:45 wed, thurs & fri) so I have 2 afternoons, evenings and the weekends.

I will try my hardest to stick to the daily list until I'm into the swing of things but this may take some time to get used to :o

Hi kiwi88. I found that the first week took me a long time to do each room, but after that it's not taken me more than about 30 mins. It doesn't matter if you don't finish as each room comes around again the following week, and even 15 minutes on each room helps.

As for everyone's long lists, I'm sure if you actually listed everything you did each day you'll have a long list as well. I list everything as a reminder to do things, but also as a motivator to get off my back side and do them.

So this was all I got done today . . .

    [STRIKE]Weekly menu plan
    Grocery List
    Work
    Buy groceries
    Walk puppy[/STRIKE]

Discovered when I got home that the puppy can jump the temporary fence we made, so we're fixing that tonight.

Todays Moggins/lil-me list will be transferred to Wednesday when I'm not working.

  • Hi Kiwi just to say i don't always get everything done on the list - some days only a few things i just generally don't post my list - but don't worry as the weeks go past i have really noticed a difference as i have done a little each week and now each room is much better and doesn't take as long! i'm not saying inside cupboards are great - this is my next focus - but it did take from new year until 2 weeks ago to get my bedroom up to scratch!! so hop on board and just do what you can :D

hope everyone else is ok - will see you later - won't get much done this morning as preschool run, then tumble tots with dd2 and coffee with friend for me after before back to preschool then home!!

am hoping to order a photo that has been waiting to be ordered for 14 months  why i don't know but order form is now printed and maybe sort out bottom of a cupboard so everything doesn't fall out when i open it!!

This is going to be really hard for me today, I was so busy rushing around Saturday morning putting washing away that I failed to see the washing was caught on the stairgate and as I walk past I pulled the stairgate straight down onto my foot, which immediatley blew up to about twice its size and ended up with DH taking me to casualty (and on his birthday as well)
Foot is not broken luckily but very swollen, I have had to cut a pair of shoes so I can get them on and do the school run, and I hope I can press the clutch okay!!
Hope you had a better weekend!!

Thanks for posting the list, if it hadnt been here I would not do anythign today- but I will try, might get dh to do the hoovering tho'
