Samsung Galaxy S II deal

I have a really old phone off of 2005 (so retro!) and think it's time to get on board with the smartphone but I'm hesitant to part with my money! I'm drawn towards the Samsung Galxy S II.
Does this £20.50 Vodafone deal seem like a good offer from Phones4U http://www.phones4u.co.uk/shop/shop_contract_details.asp?ItemKey=519740&intcid=hero1_right_gs2_20042012
Would it be wiser to wait a month or so in the hope prices will fall as the S III is coming out?

Wait a month, see what happens to the prices.0

The samsung galaxy s3 is launching May 3rd, so shouldn't be too long to wait. I'm hoping the s2 prices drop dramatically - fingers crossed!0

Launch may well be 3rd May but bear in mind that in all likelihood and rumors are it will not be on sale till Oct/Nov0

Have you read the cashback guide by mobile junkie? If you don't like parting with your money, at least for a few months till you can claim it back, then thats for you!
Don't forget to check Quidco and TCB0 -
This is only 18 months and works out at effectively £18/month, plus Quidco offering £65 cashback:

Bear in mind this deal has only 250mb data. I would go for at least 500mb, i see you will be new to smart phones, but when you get used to it 250mb wont be enough.0 -

From what i see this is refurb handset, not necessarily a problem, but no data. No point in having S2 without data.0 -

Refurb is no problem, same guarantee and the 2 I have had were in fact brand new in their boxes (Desire & Desire White).
The data however is definitely an issue and if the OP plans to use the phone out and about he would either need cloud or get the 500mb minimum or more possibly. However if he is basically only going to use at home/work etc with wifi or cloud minimal or no data may be the way to go. You can always addit, but make sure you monitor any usage!
That was just a quick example, I would advise using this website:

Thanks for all the helpful advice. I think I'll sit tight for a few weeks on the off-chance deals are a little bit better and then I'll finally take the plunge. I suppose I could go on waiting ever if I took 'ooh, maybe it'd be cheaper next week....'.approach.
Also I definitely check out the cashback sites, that's a very good tip indeed.0 -
