Rant - Vie at Home Still no makeup!

I went to a Vie at Home party 5 weeks ago and STILL have not had the makeup that I ordered. I have spoken to the rep last week to ask where it was and was told there were problems with delivery of stock from Germany, yet my cheque was cleared a few days after the party. So Vie at Home have my cash sitting in their account and I am still waiting for the makeup. Anyone else had a similar problem? I guess if I cancel my cheque I would now need to pay for it to be cancelled?:mad:

    If your cheque has already cleared you won't be able to cancel it. Get onto them for a refund instead. Good luck!

  • Thanks bottleredhead. I was just trying to get their details from their website, but the site is helpfully down at the moment pending a "makeover" - (do you see what they did there?!). Sigh. Fingers crossed the goods might arrive by the end of this week as promised by the agent (she told me last week they would arrive by Monday past).

    If you are wanting a refund it will be the rep that sold you the products in the first place who would give you it. Five weeks is a very long time to be waiting and I would have offered you a refund after about two weeks unless you were happy to wait. Speak to the rep about getting your money back
  • vie at home have went into liquidation and is in the hands of administratiors that is why the site and phone lines are down, within a week or 2 will open up as a new company your rep should notify you of this and hopefully deliveries will be dispatched
  • Oh no! I just found the vie in liquidation thread too. How disappointing. Wonder if I will have to write off my cheque...bother. Was meant to be a nice well earned treat - feeling very misled by the rep to be honest, although I know she was only trying to make a living :-(

    I am a consultant for Vie at Home and I am as much in the dark as you. I placed orders for my customers over 5 weeks ago and not received their orders. Each time I called the consultant helpline they promised it would be delivered "early next week". So I think your consultant was just passing on the info she was given. Unfortunately we seem to be very low priority to Vie and they haven't contacted us to tell us what is happening.

    I have heard on the grapevine that a new company is taking over and might be up and running next week (fingers crossed). Three different people have told me the orders should still be received but after 5 weeks my optimism is dwindling! I hope this is the case as I have had many a sleepless night (and the odd panic attack) about this whole thing. I just want the orders to arrive so my customers are happy then I'm throwing the towel in!

    I hope I've managed to reassure you that your consultant hasn't been trying to pull a fast one! We've been promised all sorts of things over the last couple of months (only been with them since March so can't comment on before then) and nothing ever materialised! :(
  • I'm really sorry for you Moneypenny, and thanks for taking the time to reply. i do feel terrible for the consultants, but I felt guilty enough treating myself at this party without it then appearing to be a complete waste of money :-( I do hope that the consultants can get some fair treatment from vie - it's terrible that a company supposedly owned by a german millionnaire is treating people so badly. Good luck.

  • I joined as a rep on the 4th of april and have parties lined up.Vie have already taken my money for my starter pack but it not even arrived yet,,not looking good :(
