Even with this discount, a dozen bottles will cost about the same as a case from Laithwaite's on wine of their promotions: and in terms of drinking quality and sheer pleasure Laithwaite's offerings are worth about five times as much!
I'm not totally convinced on this. I think if you pay a little more with Laithwaite's then you get something good, around £7-£8 a bottle, but I got a phone call from L. offering me a discount case, which worked out at about £5 a bottle, and I'd rate them at about the same as the Tesco "3 for £12" bottles, ie not that brilliant. Tesco, if you are selective, do some reasonable wines for the same sort of money I paid Laithwaites (taking into account the 25% off)0 -
I havent got mine with me at the moment, otherwise would check, but is the £10 off an £80 shop code valid for use online? If so does this mean we could place an order on monday?Women marry men hoping they will change, men marry women hoping they won't! Inevitably they will both be disappointed.Albert Einstein:smileyhea0

The Finest Nero D'avola is in the current £10 Meal Deal and does compare in a JTD as £6.99 in T's, £5 in A's. So guess as people say you could get 6 meal deals for this and it'd work out quite a saving with £11.94 off via JTD or get 3 meal deals and 3 other wines maybe (as long as they're the same price in A's or cheaper otherwise it'll screw up your JTD)
However, does anyone know if JTD ignores the 25% off, so in other words you'd get 6 meal deals with £10.49 off (for your 25% off) making your 6 meal deals cost only £49.51 instead of £60 and then a further £11.94 back as a JTD?
I can also confirm that this white wine gives a JTD back of £2.99 per bottle, again don't know if JTD ignores the 25% off.

Thanks OP. Great find :T Partner got 12 mini bottles yesterday at local tesco on the 2 for £3 and it took the 25% off so £11.08. Got a variety including the more expensive jacobs creek. Then went back today and got another 12 mini bottles (again a variety) which came to £11.23. So now have 24 mini bottles. This is great for me because I usually just like to have 1-2 glasses at a time and find that white wine and rose tastes different (not as nice) on subsequent days even when kept in fridge. I have wasted wine before and also drunk it for the sake of not wasting it even when didn't want it.
Of course you get the best discount by choosing the most expensive bottles (as pointed out by previous people) but I wanted a variety. Thanks again for pointing out this great offer.0 -
I can confirm that JTD works without counting the 25% off! :j:j:j
I got 6 x Wolf Blass Semillon Chardonnay (red label) yesterday, which came to £35.95 instore after the 25% off.
I have now got my JTD for £17.94, making 6 bottles of a pretty decent wine cost £18 or equivalent to £3 per bottle
Think I'll be down there today and possibly tomorrow (using my £10 off wys £80) voucher getting more!0 -

What is the nicest wine to bulk buy for my wedding? To complement spicy food? Also best Cava?
I used this Tesco deal last year for my wedding. We had an indian menu so used the Turner Road Merlot, Ernst & Julio Chardonnay and the Tesco Cava for the drinks reception. It was the cheapest way to stock up for a large wedding.
I did some reading up on red wines for spicy food and came up with a merlot. I guess it also depends on your budget.0
