    Hi everyone
Not been round much lately but have been lurking a bit. Hope everyone is OK and Hugs to all in need.
Had a day off work today so just been chilling out after doing some housework etc, the sun has just come out after rain-rain-rain but everywhere looks very soggy!!!
Just come back from spending a week in Scotland and what a lovely country it is, I have never been that far North before and North West Scotland is so beautiful and the weather was good too, the croft that we stayed on was in the middle of nowhere and the people around were so welcoming and helpful, I will definitely be going back - I loved it:)
Anyway off to watch Lovejoy on the TV

    Afternoon All

Wet here today too. Some parts of the day it stopped raining but the wind seemed to blow harder! DS2 is off to Shetland today poor soul!

Day work still grim but enjoying the evening work a little more now, just need to get into the swing of things.

Jools - Hope things improve soon.

Risotto for tea (going to start it in a mo), WM on with towels in that will have to go on the airers, apart from that not much going on. Work at 7 so that will keep me out of trouble!

    Take care. XX

was meant to go out last night, but wasn't well so I went to bed at 6 & slept 12 hours 'til 6 this morning.
I didn't think I better start the daily thread 'til I'd worked out what day of the week it is.
Sausage & mash for tea tonight, but no idea what time hubby will be in, he's workig lots of overtime at the moment.
    Have a good day everyone.
    Hugs Hester

    Evening all!
Thanks for your continued support. Just in from work, a lot of problems there with a patient, and she has the most pedantic annoying doc so feel like today lasted 36 hours, not just 12 and a half! OH was speaking to his mum, so she has phoned the DS and allegedly read him the riot act.........doubt that but hey ho! OH sitting here sulking cos he's "worried sick" about his boy, and apparently its all my fault cos I hate DS,............biting tongue going on cos I'm too tired for a confrontation, hopefully I will sleep tonight and attempt a rational conversation with DS tomorrow, if he answers his phone! Went into his room at 5 this morning, and noticed he had taken a photo of him and my dad which is usually on the wall by his bed, needless to say that set me off again!
Anyways, hugs to all who need or want one, and welcome to the new poster whose name escapes me, a great supportive bunch here!!!!

    Evening all,

Rain and wind here with a vengeance all day, just been out with the dogs for a minute and all 3 of us got drenched just going round the house.

PP....stay in bed, its the best place to be in this rotten weather.

JackieO....glad to hear that you are fighting fit again....enjoy the holiday.

Jools....special hug for you....I have been 'through' 7 teenagers so know what its like.

Made a huge pot of soup this morning and had that for dinner with some bread I made with manky blue cheese ....OH had chicken with leeks, peas, baked spud and sauce....enjoyed my soup as I think it is the only thing for this kind of day.

Still knitting blanket number 3....offered to help one of the group this morning with some crochet she was finding difficult, so have taken it home with me as there is too much gab going on at group to concentrate on a pattern....will give it a go to-morrow for a change from the knitting.

nannygladys....glad that you had a nice holiday in Scotland....have only visited Glasgow and Edinburgh, so a more extensive tour is on my to do list...with the rest of the UK, if we ever have weather that might encourage us to leave home for somewhere that sunshine is not guaranteed!

Hugs to all in need or want, congratulations to anyone celebrating and welcome to newby....we are mostly mad here, but it helps with survival in these crazy days.

Sleep well all and stay safe
