    Morning all:wave:
The rotten weather has finally found us, the past two days have been lovely, today is...really not. On the plus side it shows that the new window works much better than the old one, there is no horrible draft:D

I think the plans for today are to start putting the living room back how it should be. Hubby had to move my settee and the snake's viv's into the back room yesterday to make life easier for the workmen. The living room is all finished now, so everything can go back. We took it as an opportunity to have a bit of a sort out and de-clutter, so when everything is in place, it should look nice and neat.

With waiting in for workmen, the last two days have been NSD, but today we'll need to go and get some keys cut. The landlord only gave us one new front door and one new back door key. I've no idea how much that will cost us:angry:

DD1 is out again tonight, Young Carers this time, the poor girl works really hard and usually has no social life, so being out 3 nights in a row is really unusual for her. I think it will be potato pie for lunch, and something light for tea. DD1 will get fed a snack at YC but she usually wants something more when she gets in.

BM was on overnight, WM is on now, Hubby will vacuum later, so once the dishwasher is on I can sit and decide what I'm going to knit next.:)

    Hugs all round ((((((()))))))

Morning all, the weather is horrible, really hope it calms down a bit later.
pennypincher hope you feel better after some rest ((hugs)) all round

I feel queasy from being so tired :( I just had a hot bath which has perked me up a bit, hopefully enough to get me through my presentation today. Then I need to hand in some assignments early and get the train up to visit my Nan, it takes ~4 hours to get there so I will probably stay the night. My university are a lot more compassionate than I thought they would be, I need to get a letter from the hospital (so does my mum as she is cancelling her holiday) and then they will give me a few days extension on my remaining assignments so I can visit her more :)

Morning ladies, its ruddy nasty here today. Pouring with rain and looking at the sky I think it is in for the day:mad::mad:
Hello to the newbies, great bunch on here.
Hugs for the poorlies and everyone else.
Yesterday was a very sad day, it was the funeral of the childrens great aunt from their dads side. It was such an emotional day and I feel totally drained now. So taking it easy for today.

Woofer was looked after by my neighbour bless her , got home just after 6 to find that she had made lasagne for us all , couldn't thank her enough as I really didn't feel like cooking. So dinner last night was lasagne and a huge salad.

Andrew is up and staying for the rest of the week as he has no college so has said he will look after woofer dog and I can spend time with my friend who lost her partner .Such a kind thoughtful boy. Have checked with his mum that this is ok and she scolded me for even needing to ask.Felt like a naughty little girl ;);)

So am going to potter round doing little or nothing, everywhere is tidy .Have put a casserole in the slow cooker so dont even need to stress about dinner later.

Hope everyone is ok and has a good day.:)

WM is on - will hang it indoors.Bit of ironing to do if time.

PP - bed is probably the best place for you judging by what its like outside x x

Tru - enjoy your choccy eggs:EasterBun:D

Have a great day all x

    Morning all,
Windy and chilly and rainy here, got wet taking dog out:( I shan't be going out apart from the end of the road to post the get well card I made yesterday.Quite pleased with how it turned out, must scan it as I keep making them and then cant remember what I did,so am going to keep a record.

I need to sew another set of buttonholes in DGDs sundress straps as they are a bit long.Might cut another dress out too if I get time as she is going on hol next month.

Beef stew in the sc.Got it prepped early as dog wanted to go out in the garden before I had my shower so thought I might as well get it done while he had a wee.Starting to smell good :D

Right better carry on.PP hope you feel better soon, this weather certainly won't help.
    Hugs xx

PP bed's a sensible place - the weather's been vile this morning; Lucy and I were out in it, too! Luckily I had the foresight to borrow Mr LW's waterproof trousers and wellies!:D

Uolypool I'm sure Andrew is glad to have the opportunity to repay some of your earlier kindness; and how lovely of your neighbour to make some dins for you.:o

Tru sorry, but the Kenwood Chef used as a shelf looks just plain weird.:D

    Hiya.

What an awful day. My garden, which has been like concrete with huge cracks in it, is now standing under several inches of water. The poor plants don't know if they are coming or going. Hosepipe ban? Grrrrrr!

Magazine week this week so not a lot of OS happening although have managed to make a loaf today. Spag Bol from the freezer for tea and I have a few manky apples so will probably do a crumble as well.

nmlc: Glad to hear that other people haggle. I can't do it myself but my children are past masters. On Monday I went with DS2 and his OH to choose them a sofa. We went to a warehouse place having a sale and they found just what they wanted and as it was so reasonable they found a bed for DGS's room as well. I was horrified to hear my DIL2B ask what discount they would get as they had bought 2 items. I had to walk away (too staid, too old-fashioned and definitely too scaredy-cat).:o :o They didn't get a discount as it was already discounted in the sale but they did get the £30 delivery charge knocked off. Outside we met DS2 who was beside himself with excitement. He'd just spotted a car on sale for £9,500, same model as the one he had just bought but 2 years older, for a hotly haggled down £3,500. We never heard the end of it.:money:

PP: Sorry you don't feel so good but honestly bed is the best place to be on a day like this.

Uolypool: How lovely of Andrew and your neighbour. Your good deeds are coming home to roost.:)

Tru: Be thankful that your KC is still there, albeit a shelf. Mine has just given a little cough and expired. Right in the middle of mixing a sponge cake too.

aneres: Are you quite sure you want to join us? It can get pretty mad at times but you won't find a nicer, more supportive group anywhere.;)

That's all folks. Back to work.
