  • I just sold something to Estonia - they pretty soon put in a SNAD and asked for complete refund plus all postage to and from - I refunded straight away and they have now left feedback saying that the deal was ok
( was for them - they have the item free ,sent to them post free plus postal money on top - sweet ! )
As Martin says - please be nice - there is no such thing as a stupid question ! ;)

If you had a problem with it, why did you not insist on it back?

With returns, it is very simple to just put in the advert, returns not an issue, however do not cover any of the postage costs, to and back. Put this in the eBay advert in advance, as parts of terms.

Most people I have dealt with have not ever had an issue with this. I normally send with Special delivery or Fedex, if they get the item and are not happy, will refund them in full for item upon return, follow my terms and conditions for returns, buyer pays ALL his postage costs if return!

If repair as a part of any warranty I would cover their postage cost if fault was mine.

Regarding SNAD, I would want clear proof why and what was wrong, if customer has 100% clear that he was correct, I would also refund buyer for the postage upon return of the item.

Note that distance seller regulations are specific for the UK, outside UK shipping have different rules. Example to the US, you do not have to offer refund, you can also offer exchange as an option.
