Having a several items and then being asked by the cashier if I need any bags. I really have to hold myself back from saying "No thanks I can juggle them home!" :rotfl:
A checkout assistant who forgets to give out the vouchers for Schools etc.
A checkout assistant who doesnt credit 'green' points for using your own bags, or for just 2 items for being able to carry them out to the car. The self serve machies can do this so why cant they?
A cashier who argues that the blue reusable Tesco bags are only worth 1 point when it states on the side they are worth 3 (only certain bags have this).
An x items or less till
Other customers who stand so close behind me at the checkout they could be a hemaroid. have to refrain from telling them they can pay for my shopping too if they want. .Usualy same people who cough or sneeze all over me as they have no manners to use their hanky or hand! I So I go down with it tooWhatever happend to giving people space, especialy when paying by card?
Kids who think the shop is a playground.
And although this is a bit dodgy Foreigners (who have migrated over here) who have not adapted to UK manners and holiday maker muppets who leave their brains behind and clean out the shelves before we even have a chance then litter the local area adjacent to the shops (caravan / holiday park) with rubbish.
People who park in child spaces and dont have kids in car. I dont have kids but wouldnt park in those spaces but it annoys me for those who do it. Cant comment on the disabled spaces as its not always obvious.
People who drive up the car park the wrong way to the one way arrow and park in the space I was going in the right direction for
Miserable Tesco staff who cant be bothered. Staff who want to mow you down with a cage or pallet truck.
Shoppers who dont say thank you for letting them through first when others have caused a blockage.
Shoppers who reach over me or push me into the fridge, freezer or shelf to reach something and act as if I am invisible! I maybe short but I am not a kid. Hubby has to bite his toung quite a bit. I cant open my mouth as it not worth it
People who knock things off shelves or rails and dont pick them up.
People who put things back in the wrong place.
Wrong products next to shelf labels.
Suitable replacement items being totaly unsuitable !
Ordering 2 x 250 ? of something and receiving 1 x 500 ? pack
etc etc etc.
"Other customers who stand so close behind me at the checkout they could be a hemaroid" :rotfl:
I agree with some many comments on here at least I know its not just me that gets Trolley-rage... :T
I especially agree with the wrong items being in the wrong place on shelves, also what about the promotions that have 'apparently' ended even though the offer was still there on the edge or it doesn't go through the till properly. So then I have to queue again at Customer Services so they can slowly wander over the aisle to realise their mistake.
Last time a woman behind me in the queue said she checks her receipt everytime as there is always something that hasn't gone through. So many people must be losing out big time.0 -

So because the shop is short-staffed, you do a diva and storm off in dramatic fashion to make a self-serving point.
It isn't the store HQ or management who end up going round the shop returning the items to the shelves, it is the minimum-wage worker who gets the pleasure of the results of your tantrum.
You may poo-poo, but if more people did this it would help the supermarket's management to focus their minds on providing a decent till service. Particularly given that they are not allowed to replace frozen items on the shelves because they cannot guarantee the have been kept below a safe temperature.
As to the minimum wage worker, s/he is not being forced to do anything out of the ordinary by putting things back on shelves. It's not as if the supermarkets can force them to do that particular type of work as unpaid overtime. There are two types of people in the world: Those that can extrapolate information.0 -
My main issue with supermarkets is ariving at the checkouts with a full trolley or basket, then seeing only 3 or 4 tills open with queues 4 - 5 people long.
I usually do what I did today - leave the trolley where it is, or put the basket on the floor, walk out and go somewhere else. When they are putting the stuff back, they can think about having more tills open.
No it won't, all it does is it causes a safety risk and puts prices up. I used to work in Sainsbury's and we had a few people do this (mainly self-important business men who expect every single checkout to be open at 5 on the dot as the world should revolve around them.) Clearly, you don't give a damn if someone trips over your basket and injures themselves. Also, don't moan about the price of frozen food going up next time you go in as they have to throw away all discarded food as they don't know for how long its been out of the freezer for. If you choose to shop at peak times, you have to accept that you will need to queue.0 -

.
So you spend 30-60 minutes walking round filling up a trolley and cant wait 5 or 10 minutes to pay so you abandon it?
Do you then go to another supermarket and spend another 30-60 mins filling another trolley?
The checkouts are probably understaffed cos all the cashiers are busy putting all the left shopping back on the shelf.0 -

Or was at the end of her payslip and was splitting her shopping across three ways as she's not a regular on this site!
And seeing as we're making generalisations on gender, why is it always men that pack heavy items on top of the bread/ fruit so it gets squashed?
I only ever real the Praise, vent warnings every once in a while because of comments like this. People come on here to do give praise , vent or warn. If someone wants to vent let them. Why do all these people feel the need to comment giving reason's for the annoying actions? i.e maybe the lady was shopping for elderly etc. What has that got to do with anything? It's still annoying!
Sorry rant overThanks to all posters0 -
When people start packing my bags - noooooooo!!!!!!! Leave it be, its my shopping and I want to pack it!
No no no no no, this is being helpful! If I go shopping by myself I'm so bad at even getting the new ultra thing Asda bags open that by the time I've got one opened and started to pack there's already a huge buildup...0
