TCP vehicle photo notice

Opened the mail today to find a letter notifying the RK of overstaying at Asda & incurring a £60 notice, £30 if I pay in 14 days.
Letter has a snap shot picture of vehicle both entering & exiting the car park along with date/time/reg no etc.
The RK did not drive on that occasion, I did. Since reading on here ages ago, I've come back to clarify that we should always ignore these rip off merchants.
The fact that they've included photo evidence should not really be relevant, should it?
I've informed RK about the notice & assured him all is well to ignore it.
Must cost them a small fortune in postage. Perhaps we should start posting them back without postage so they pay twice :rotfl:.

Yes, you are right, don't waste your time responding. Or, if you do, don't put a stamp on, then it will cost them about £1.50 to pick your letter up, only to find there ISN'T any money in it!
TCP never do court anyway, but without any info as to who was driving it could never even get off the ground.
Relax and ignore.0 -
My OH got the very same yesterday...wrote back stating that RK not driving bit annoyed paid for RM Recorded now.Working to be debt free by September 2014

Never mind, if they keep going you may be able to recoup that by prising a settlement for harassment from them.0

Thank them for the very nice photo of your car, and tell them you've added it to your collection.

funny enough i had reason to go into the asda carpark where t@c pondlife are operating, so parks as i can in a disabled bay, as i go in i pass the t@c guy whos on his way out, obviously thinking this muppits going to ticket me because i dont actually need to display my blue badge which tbh i have not displayed, so gearing up for a face in his face session about reasonable adjustment and the legal requirements of the blue badge i watch, he takes a look at my tax disc, walks past , gets in his vehicle and drives away !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
makes you wonder if they have been sent details about checking for disabled tax and dont waste our money if the vehicle has it0 -
Or you'll get a letter in six weeks stating that as you ignored the ticket that WAS DEFINITELY placed on your car, the fee has now risen to the full amount of £5,000,000, or whatever it is.Je Suis Cecil.0

ASDA have advised of the terms of The Equality Act 2010.The acquisition of wealth is no longer the driving force in my life.

Something wrong, shurely, since when did a PPC have any regard to the law if it stood in the way of ripping people off?0

Now that PPC person should be made Employee of the Year for actually taking into account the Equality Act 2010 and abiding by it in this instance. :T
However, what would he have done if you had no disabled tax disc (and no Blue Badge of course, not needed) but were still eligible within the definition of disability? He'd have ticketed the car because that's what they do, as we know.
Good on Asda though, if they have actually pointed out the Tax Disc thing though, it's a start!
@Stephen Leak are you able to start a thread to show us what correspondence was exchanged with Asda about the Act - or is it too close to home? I really feel that the big shopping retailers are the main targets for this sort of information campaign - if they are forced to sit up and take notice of who can actually use their disabled bays LEGALLY, then word will get out and we will start seeing a general change I would hope.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
