Their is a flaw in there system, if you go onto your online account and select mastercard debit it will go through!
Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.

Creation credit cards can by paid using credit cards and are treated as normal purchases. I spend on Marriott world card and always pay it off using capital one cashback world mastercard.

I wonder if you can pay off one creation card with another?
I spent 25 years in the mobile industry, from 1994 to 2019. Worked for indies as well as the big networks, in their stores also in contact centres. I also hold a degree in telecoms engineering so I like to think I know what I’m talking about 😂
  • Hi all,

One of the reasons that Argos will not accept instructions from you is because they would be incur a handling fee, like a retailer.

Ring the credit card company who are offering the 0% deal.

Ask them if they do 0% Balance Transfers.

If they say Yes, you will be able to instruct them during that phone call to transfer the balance to your Argos Card - have your Argos card ready so that you can give them the card number.

As far as the Argos card is concerned, it will just be an incoming payment, like any other.

Your 0% card will charge you a fee for doing this of between 1 - 4% (ask them for the cost of the transfer before you commit).

Mastercard is a credit card provider, not sure if it used to be switch or not. But all my credit card payments go through on the argos website.
