  • Ok, we have a file entitled 'The letting clauses', which states: "The parking spaces at the Development which are intended for communal use by the tenant or occupiers of all of the apartments and of the property for their visitors only.

There is another section, 'Rights granted', which states:

"The right to use the Parking Space for the parking of one private motor car, motorcycle or light van only.

The right in common with all others similarly entitled and on a first come first serveed basis to use the Parking facilities for the parking of not more than one morot car motorcycle or light van."

So pretty much what we expected then, nothing in the lease agreement about a permit. I will be emailing the management company, following the above advice, thank you all very much for your help, it is much appreciated.

Yes. It appears that their bright idea to bring in a parasite has no foundation and is therefore void. As are your tickets.

To be fair, highly unlikely that the management company sought out the parasite following complaints by residents of outsiders taking parking places.

More usual that the parasites go around soliciting for work if they see places with no-one already there. Would be interesting to learn how this particular bunch ended up infesting your car park...

Yes, tell the management company that you reject their permit scheme as you are under no obligation to display proof to a third party that you are not trespassing on land you have granted rights over.

It is very likely that the PPC only has rights to operate in communal areas, not on land covered by somebody else's lease.
