  • why are you adding safeloan to your DMP if you don't even remember taking out a loan with them? send them the 'prove it' letter!

    Hello All,

Above is a link for the guide given by the fsa with regards to regular automatic payments being taken from your bank.

I bank with Nationwide and have numerous payday loans due out tomorrow which i cannot afford to pay.

I called Nationwide and told them i wanted all regular payments cancelled. She listed them and i confirmed them all to be cancelled. She has put my card down as lost and is issuing me with another new one. I asked her about companies still being able to request the money but she said this would not be the case. Don't know how true this was but the FSA guide states that the banks can cancel these payments and you don't have to request these from the companies. Just write to them to tell them you no longer give them permission. I have also cancelled all DD's so hopefully this will give me some breathing space to get things sorted.

    Hope this helps others out.

    Good morning guys

Well today is the day. woke up at 5am (for work) with my fingers crossed that my wages had gone into my savings. They had.
I then got to a cash point and transfered £10 over on my phone. put my card in and i could withdraw it so i did. i then did another £200 and got that out as well. Happy days.
I even managed to pay my credit card over the phone by transfering money just before.. so what about 5 minutes.
I have however had an email and a text from pay day express statting i have not made payment. Kensington have said that they have accpeted my offer so dont know what that is about, whether it is an auotmated response i dont know.
My next plan is to speak to the bank and ask if anything has tried to come out of my account this morning. If they say that they have tried i will ask them to put a stop to this.

    So happy days.
As to the safeloan above i am disputing this but they are saying i owe this. After taking out a few pay day loans last year i lost track, so my first instinct was to add it on to my dmp. I have told them I am to lose my job and i am on a dmp but they are not budging... they want to see my p45???

many thanks for the support guys. If you dont have time to get to a bank open an online savings account and transfer the money over as soon as your wages go in (if you miss the cut off point) wonga i believe first try about 5am. Unsure about payday express.

    :)
