Just one website is blocked - MSE forums - why? and how do i fix it?

For some reason I cannot get access to money saving expert forums from my home address. It’s the only website that I cant get onto and has been like this since Sunday.

I can get access to the forums from my work computer no problem.Im on my work computer now.

Anyone know why I cant get access to the forums ( the normal website ) works ok and how do I go about trying fix it or regaining access.

Thanks in advance

  • If nothing has changed on your home computer (browser upgrade, new router, kids fiddled with it?) then I would query with your home ISP.

    A couple of suggestions:

    (1) Change your DNS to OpenDNS or Google DNS

    (2) Use the Turbo feature in Opera as suggested in the link in Stompa's post.

If it's the O2/BE issue, then changing DNS won't help. I'm already using Google DNS, but still have the problem.

Corrupted cache? In your internet options trash any cached files and delete your cookies - works surprisingly well for weird oddities like this.

Deja vu! You're not going to believe this but I am having the exact same problem. Since sunday I can't get onto this site (at work at the moment) from home. I have o2 broadband. I know its the broadband because my iphone can't connect via the wireless but can on the 3g network.

Have been unable to get forums since sunday, moaned on twitter this morning and they have done a router upgrade and now I'm back, was driving me mad as able to access all other sites.
Sorry should have said with o2 and also was able to get on by turning wifi off on phone or by pasting website into google translate but was slow.
