London council's 'social cleansing' of housing benefit tenants

surely better for the state to confiscate all housing and have a commission to distribute housing by need.
But that'd put all the people involved in forecasting house price trends out of work.
It'd also subject all the house price bulls/bears to a life of even greater boredom than they appear to have now0 -
It's a blatant political stunt by Labour. Even if it wasn't then I doubt I'd really care. People who have to pay for their own houses don't get to live wherever they want; they have to live where they can afford. There is no reason why people who are reliant on the state should be given preferential treatment.
Very true but that is what has happened up till now, and this as pushed up rents and house prices.
Next year the proposed 26K benefit cap will make things alittle fairer.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0
