:(:(:(:(That's pants but trust me it happens all the time. DH sold a van last week on ebay. The fella has messed about from the start and now DH is delivering it to him tomorrow (It's 110 miles away:eek::eek::eek::eek:) but is going to charge him £120 for delivery;)

DS3 got me to sell one of his drum kits last year on ebay and the bidder lived in Leeds. I had put 'to be collected' but the chap wanted them for his son as a xmas present. It was agreed that we'd meet , me driving 50 miles from Suffolk. I had also said cash on delivery and wanted £50 extra for having to drive out to meet up.
DH had doubts from the start, but I drove and met the guy and his family and he handed the money over no problem.
It could have turned out badly I guess. I was dead lucky that time

Thanks HC, I thought you might have an answer ;) I had told her to check out buying a local SIM as she had a huge bill on her mobile when she got home last year. With Mam as she is and now Alan too, she likes to keep in touch the whole time she is there. She did email me for updates on Mam last year, but likes to know she is able to contact by phone too if anything happens

I made the mistake once of thinking "nah, I won't buy a local SIM, I'll just buy inter nation data and call bolt ons." I never for one minute thought I would use all the data but I blitzed through 10GB before I'd even left Confusion De Gaulle. I've never made that mistake again I'll tell ya!

I turned the volume down on the SS till !yesterday and when the button is pressed it let out a loud ' beeeeeep ' as to warn the T's traffic controlers that something was happening .
Pretty soon a SA's came to see what I was doing so I replied quite politely that it was the ' first woman I could ever get to be quiet '

    I love it!!
