Tenth Anniversary Combo Breaker Xmas Saver!
    Evening Elite,
I hope you are all well. I have a rotten cold so feeling a bit sorry for myslef today! It did mean that my mum offered to look after DD (who's 3) for me whilst I popped to Tesco. This meant I could have a good rummage around without having to keep her entertained! I didn't manage to find any chocs or sock, but I did find some storage crates. They're the Really Useful 32l folding ones in lime green and bright pink. They had white SEL's of 74p which I thought was great, so I bought all 6. Now I just need to find some bargains to fill them with , ha ha!
hope the info on the storage boxes helps someone, and sorry if it's alrady been posted - I'm struggling to keep up!

Thanks for the info on the crates, I'll have to run out to get some tomorrow if I remember :)

Totally OT (do we have a topic?) Did anyone get one of the Amyrillis bulbs to flower that we had around Christmas. None of the [STRIKE]eleven[/STRIKE] couple I bought flowered. I only kept one, I chopped it back to the bulb and it has suddenly started growing again at an alarming rate.

I got my Goodwood tickets today too!! So excited to finally get there! Would love to meet up with anyone going!

To the person asking about places to stay - nearest town/city to Goodwood is Chichester. You will probably need a taxi to get to Goodwood though, there isnt a pathway to walk along. Looks like last year Stagecoach did a bus from Chichester Rail Station on the main days, but Im not sure about preview day, or if they are doing it again this year. The closest place to stay is http://www.chichesterparkhotel.com/ which is literally at the bottom of Goodwood hill. There are a few Travelodges and Premier Inns in the area but again you are at a disadvantage by not having a car. The train station is the other side of the town. For those with transport then Bognor Regis and Arundel are close too, as is Littlehampton. Im not sure on preview day what traffic is like but on the other days the queues are looooong!

There is a new Travelodge in the centre of Chichester- 5 mins walk from the train/bus... and a couple of decently priced pubs that do beds as well, but they will probably book up quickly.

Yes, a meet up would be great- but we will have to have a secret MSE dress code... maybe we can all find some socks before then! I plan to put a 50p limit on the picnic items :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

mine is still on the windowsill- no flower but 6 HUGE leaves. Not sure what to do with it. I think it might come back to life next year, but my fingers are decidedly not green with fancy plants :o

Must admit I am terrible at keeping plants, I chopped off all the long leaves it had, was surprised it started growing again I hadn't watered it for months.

Mine has the huge big long leaves as well! No sign of any flower though. Are you meant to cut them back? I'm not very green fingered either. I fear for my DD's Sunflower that got sent home from nursery last week! :o

I don't know if you are supposed to but the long leaves on mine started going brown so I took a hatchet to them (not quite but you get the gist). I'm a little heavy handed with these things.
