Bensonsmum - Sorry to hear your DS failedI so agree with what you're said and the support you've given him. I failed my first test, it was a TOTAL and utter disaster! ....the night before, someone crashed my instructors car and damaged one of the wheels so much so that it needed replacing. He put the space saver wheel on and phoned me to let me know he would be picking me up at 8am as opposed to 8:45am. Mum did her best to calm me down and eventually convinced me it was a good thing because I'd be able to have more driving time before the test and feel more relaxed. She couldn't have been more wrong!!:mad:
Could only go 50mph on motorway with space saver wheel, got to 1st garage no wheels, suggested scrap yard, got to scrap yard and a driving instructor with same car had bought all the wheels the week before :eek:Only other option Peugeot garage, full price = instructor NOT happy, no mechanic available to fit it. Back to 1st garage, mechanic free in 10 mins, driving instructor led on ground jacking the car up 20 mins before test due to start. Got there with mins to spare, complete bervous wreck, I was shaking so much, I was actually bouncing in the chair and couldn't breathe! Couldn't focus the whole time, I was just a wreck. Failed, but was determined that it would be better next time round and driving was so important to me, I figured I'd just get back on the horse and rebook straight away. Most dates offered were 3/4 weeks time but there was a cancellation for 10 days later so I went for that and passed with only 1 minor:D:D:j
So just keep doing what you're doing and he'll be absolutely fine, driving in no time :A
dreamerbea - Awww bless your DD :A Hope she feels better today after her 1st day of the SATS. Tiny - Very glad to hear yesterday was a better day :jHope today is even better:D

thank you Fudge_Cake - 1 day down and 4 to go, the school did a really good job building her confidence all last week but she is one of lifes thinkers and can let doubt creep in - she knows that I am happy that she just does the best she can - I see you as a big part of the elite 11+ and look forward to reading your posts0 -
One of ours also brought home a baby rabbit, veyr much alive. If we had put it back in the field it would have died as it was only a few days old so we have a local RSPCA hospital and we took it there - we are always taking them presents, ducks, rabbits, bats etcmymerrywidow wrote: »i have officially lost the will to live.:o
did the world stop spinning for the past hour? no? well something happened.
firstly i had made meat/potatoe pie with the wrong pastry (i defrosted puff pastry:mad:) boiled spuds and beans. plated it all up then tripped over and dropped the lot of the floor :eek: thankfully i had spare pies.
then second i had the mosst surreal phone call from EDF. i had called them earlier in the day to gee them up over my feed in tariff.(for my solar panels) the woman call back to say that i hadnt sent in 2 forms of i.d. i said i had, my driving licence and the electric bill. she said we dont accept electric bills as i.d,:eek: remember this is e.d. f i was talking too :rotfl::rotfl: so i scanned my passport and will send that in a minute to catch the last post.
then the cat brings home a baby rabbit:mad: (alive:j) what the hell am i meant to do with that? its seems ok. i may just let it go when i post the edf letter.

Yes I saw these advertised in the sainsburys mag today and thought what a good idea. I've got a few of the old design of juggits so I might freecycle these.
I think the milk bags freeze ?Evening everyone.
Goodwood ticket x 4 in. Thanks to the OP.
Got myself a "Jugit" from Mr S Bob today.
Very clever device takes a 2 pint "bag" of milk.
Cuts a hole in and pours milk from the "Jugit"
The empty milk bag is recyclable.
Jugit £1.98.
S/skim milk bag 85p.
S/skim milk bag 85p.
Multi buy - £1.98.
Milk bags 2 for £1 - 70p
So 4 pints of fresh milk, in 2 x 2 pint bags, and a widget for a £1.“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0 -

Sounds like a one or two of the day's i've had in the past. Except we get dead mice dropped on our doormat by the neighbourhood cats, I have been known to forget the sugar in cheesecake that desperately needed it, we have been known to go off for a job without the ladders that we need, and it goes on. At least that makes the 3 - life WILL return to normal (whatever that may be :rotfl::rotfl:).What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0 -

Seems to happen once a fortnight now when the JTD machine just grinds to a halt.
