They are such a worry .... but wouldn't be without them
One minute at death's door and the next acting like a puppy. You find yourself watching them all the time wondering if what they did was wrong, looking for any signs of them being too poorly. It is a very worrying time, but you are obviously a responsible and caring 'owner' (haha) and have dealt with this before
:rotfl: at his name - Chicken :rotfl: :rotfl:Gotta ask how he got that one :eek:0 -
skinandblister1 wrote: »We found him 13yrs ago in our garden at 3am, snow everywhere, when we had just got in from a club and was taking our dog out for a walk - he looked just like an oven ready chicken at the time - all curled up an bald and frozen - searched for his owner everywhere but to no avail so his name stuck!
I can't believe no-one was looking for him - perhaps they didn't know what he was and thought he had a skin complaint :eek: He truly is a very lucky, lovely dog .... and you were very lucky to find him/that he found you :A I can see now how he got the name, poor thing :rotfl:

And one more post before I ascend the wooden hill
:rotfl:
I've been doing lots of cooking recently, some homemade, some not so muchToday was beef wellington (whoopsied from £20 to 10p!!!!!!!) roasties, cabbage and gravy followed by macaroni pudding. Sadly I was in such a fret getting everything ready I didn't have chance to take a pic but I did take a pic yesterday of the flapjack I made topped with TCO ganache. Made with Jordan's rolled oats (free with Jordan's cereal coupon) couple of spoonfuls of Value self raising flour, Lyle's golden syrup (when it was 2 for £1) homemade butter from whoopsied double cream (10p) whoospied sugar as bag slightly split, a whole TCO (from glitch, yes I still have a few
) and whoopsied anchor pouring cream (12p) for the ganache
I was fairly happy with it and there's only 2 slices left
I didn't end up doing any more price flop shopping at T's as I planned. Instead I went to M's to stock up on Velvet at £2.50 for 9 rolls. Split a shop up between me and Mum's best friend to take it over £40 to use a £5 off. Topped it up with Lucozade which is currently £2 for 6 x 380ml in M's and A's :T(though it ma have ended today in M'ssorry I didn't check!
)
Was too early for whoopsies but rather than hang around I went to A's as the whoopsie cabinet wasn't looking too promising!
And in A's I got;
1 bunch pink Tulips, 1 bunch purple Tulips and 1 bunch lilies, 4 x 6pt milk, Celery + 4pk dips, 2 x 1pt skimmed milk, Mattessons ham snack pack things (no idea), Sausage and onion lattice pie, Sauteed herby, garlic, bacon potatoes, sugarsnap peas and Extra Special sunblush tomato and basil fresh soup for £1.50 :T:T:j
So dinner tomorrow is the lattice pie and sauteed potatoes, perhaps with salad....mmmmmmmmmmmmm!!!!
